The Bachelor: Victoria F. Confronted Peter Weber’s Ex Merissa Pence After Filming Ended

Peter Weber’s ex, Merissa Pence, turned Victoria Fuller’s relationship with Peter upside-down on the latest episode of The Bachelorso it’s no surprise that Victoria confronted her whistle-blower when she returned home. Apparently, the two women had a confrontation in Virginia Beach, Virginia where Victoria let Merissa know exactly how she felt about her meddling.

On Monday night’s episode of The Bachelor, Peter had a seemingly perfect hometown date with Victoria. While their relationship has had plenty of ups and downs, the day went off without a hitch (or a tear, in Victoria’s case). As the two parted ways in the afternoon before coming back together to meet Victoria’s family in the evening, however, things went awry. Peter was confronted by his ex-girlfriend Merissa Pence outside of a bar in Virginia Beach. Merissa told Peter that she knew Victoria, and warned him about the woman’s past behavior. Merissa warned Peter, “There’s been many relationships broken up because of her.” When Peter went to confront Victoria, however, the conversation unsurprisingly didn’t go well. Victoria immediately got defensive, burst into tears, insulted Peter, and walked away – all within a matter of minutes. Though Peter gave Victoria a rose, even after all that, viewers never got an answer as to whether Merissa was telling the truth or not.

While we don’t know what Victoria did to prompt Merissa to give such a warning, we do know that she wasn’t happy about Merissa’s interference. In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Merissa admitted that the two women had seen each other after filming ended and that the encounter hadn’t gone well. “We had a semi-confrontation at one of the local bars here a couple weekends after she got back from The Bachelor,” Merissa explained. She went on to say that Victoria yelled, “You’re a f*cking loser!” at her from across the bar. However, Merissa wasn’t affected. “Those words do not hurt me, and I was confident in what I did. I don’t take any offense to that. It is what it is, but I think that’s just her way of expressing that she’s upset, which is fine.”

As for why she went on the show to begin with, Merissa had an explanation for that, as well. She said, “I just did this for the people who don’t have a voice.” She claimed that the women who were affected by the relationships that Victoria ruined don’t want to be named, so she’s trying to speak up for them. She continued, “I feel like I have been that voice for them, and that’s kind of been my mindset on all of this.” She also explained that while she didn’t want to talk badly about Victoria, she did want Peter to send her home. Merissa claimed, “I just wanted him to end his relationship with Victoria. I kind of knew – when I found out she was going on the show – how this would play out.”

Although Merissa’s confrontation with Victoria wasn’t an all-out brawl, it’s certainly within Victoria’s character to turn to anger when there’s a conflict. If what Merissa said isn’t true, she deserves all the anger she’ll get for bringing up doubts about Victoria. However, Victoria’s reaction wasn’t at all encouraging. Unlike Merissa, she had a chance to sit down in front of Peter and the cameras and refute those claims. Instead, she got angry and stormed away. Which begs the question, if she didn’t do anything wrong, why is she so upset?

The Bachelor airs Mondays at 8pm EST on ABC.
