The Babysitter 2 Releases Next Month on Netflix; First Look Images Revealed

The Netflix original film The Babysitter: Killer Queen is set for a September 10 release on the streaming service, and, ahead of the premiere, Netflix gave fans a sneak peek into the movie’s chaos with some first-look photos. The Babysitter was initially released in 2017 and starred Samara Weaving, Bella Thorne, Andrew Bachelor, Hana Mae Lee, and Robbie Amell as members of a satanic cult, with Weaving as Bee the babysitter. Judah Lewis played Cole; the 12-year-old boy Bee is babysitting—and then attempting to kill.

Spoiler alert: The Babysitter killed off many of its major characters—or did it? When Netflix announced a sequel, the majority of the original film’s actors confirmed their return, including Thorne, Amell, and Lee, whose characters were all presumed dead. Now, with the release of these first-look photos, it’s clear that most members of the demonic cult are alive and well. NX, Netflix’s geek-centric Twitter account, tweeted a gif and four photos showing Cole and his friend Melanie, played by Emily Alyn Lind, as well as Thorne, Bachelor, and Amell’s characters. So, very much, not dead.

Along with presenting some of the original cast, the photos also include a new group of faces. One appears to be Jenna Ortega, the You and Insidious alum who has an unnamed but confirmed role in The Babysitter: Killer Queen. However, the one notable person that’s missing is Bee, the nominal babysitter and apparent leader of the cult—who’s the only member shown to be alive in a mid-credits scene from the first film.

It’s unclear how, exactly, some of these characters came back from the dead, but they look like they’re out for blood. It’s also unclear whether Bee will return, but judging on the title of the film, The Babysitter: Killer Queen, will probably have another murderous female babysitter at its helm if it’s not Bee.
