The Ability To Use The Force

The Force Would Be An Incredible Power To Wield

There are few things more iconically Star Wars than the Force, and it would be a truly exceptional concept to bring into the real world. Even beyond the Jedi, the Force is an incredible power that not only gives those who use it the ability to lift objects, use mind tricks, and complete amazing physical feats but also binds the galaxy together. The Force would, therefore, not only add thrilling new abilities to the world but also act as a unifying power.

Of course, the Force would also introduce a number of unpredictable variables to the real world as well. No doubt, just as in Star Wars, there would be those who would use the Force for good and those who would use it for evil. Even so, though, to actually be able to possess this power would be unbelievable.

The Existence Of The Jedi/The Jedi Order

Having The Jedi In The Real World Would Make Things Interesting

Of course, along with the Force would inevitably come the Jedi. After all, such incredible power would require someone to control and master it. While the Jedi Order has had a complicated history in Star Wars, and the upcoming Star Wars: The Acolyte TV show, set 100 years before the prequel trilogy, will no doubt show even more of its flaws, it would nevertheless be a thrilling institution to have in the real world.

As with the Force, the existence of the Jedi would no doubt create the possibility that the Sith (or some other dark side Force users) would rise up. While that would be daunting, though, it’s clear throughout the Star Wars timeline that even when the Sith do return, the Jedi inevitably triumph. Moreover, the epic lightsaber battles have to happen somehow, so such threats may be a necessary evil.

8

The Use Of (Real) Lightsabers As Weapons

“An Elegant Weapon For A More Civilized Age” Would Be An Amazing Addition

The single most iconic weapon in all of Star Wars is the lightsaber, which would be one of the most incredible additions to the real world. Lightsabers have only become more fascinating in Star Wars as the franchise has grown and developed, with lightsaber colors and their meanings always expanding. Moreover, recent Star Wars projects have proven that lightsaber colors and designs will continue to move beyond the standard green and blue, with yellow lightsabers making appearances in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Star Wars: The Bad Batch, and The Acolyte trailer.

Of course, versions of lightsabers certainly exist in the real world, whether they be replicas of the lightsabers of Star Wars’ most powerful Jedi or custom-made versions. However, there could never be anything like the real thing. The introduction of lightsabers to the real world would truly shape the modern day, in addition to offering lightsaber users an incredible real-life weapon.

7

The Option To Have Porgs As Pets

Audiences Fell In Love With Porgs For Good Reason

Among Star Wars’ lovable creatures from across the franchise’s many movies and TV shows, Porgs are some of the most beloved. Introduced in Star Wars: The Last Jedi when Rey found Luke Skywalker in exile on Ahch-To, Porgs are small, wide-eyed, screaming creatures representing something like real-life owls. Audiences fell in love with the creatures when the sequel trilogy was released, and Porgs remain a phenomenon in the franchise.

Though many incredible Star Wars creatures would be excellent to bring into the real world, Loth-cats certainly also among them, Porgs would be the best. Despite their shrieking yells and somewhat pushy attitude, Porgs would make amazing pets in real life. With their small size and adorable faces, they would surely capture hearts in the real world too, joining the ranks of dogs and cats with a unique Star Wars twist.

6

The Existence Of Droids

R2-D2, C-3PO, And Chopper Would Make Excellent Real-Life Companions

Even better than Porgs, however, would be the introduction of Star Wars droids to the real world. Like lightsabers, versions of droids certainly exist in real life; however, they pale in comparison to the companions shown throughout Star Wars. Characters like R2-D2, C-3PO, Chopper, and BB-8 are some of Star Wars’ best sidekicks, and they—and any other droids—would be great additions to real life.

Although friendship is key for many of these characters, droids also have abilities that make them ideal for real life. As a protocol droid, for example, C-3PO knows numerous languages in addition to helping complete minor or major tasks. In fact, although Anakin Skywalker built the droid to help his mother in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, C-3PO went on to become critical to two revolutions against tyranny and represent Leia in front of the New Republic in the Ahsoka show. Surely such a resource could come in handy in the real world.

5

The Ability To Fly The Millennium Falcon

The Iconic Ship Would Make Travel Much Easier

While any number of Star Wars ships are amazing, X-wings and TIE fighters most notable among them, and would be stunning if brought into the real world, it’s impossible to beat the Millennium Falcon. The Falcon became iconic in the original Star Wars trilogy and went on to feature heavily in the sequel trilogy as well. Even with those added years (and despite Rey initially calling it “garbage”) it was still a gorgeous, powerful ship, capable of taking on the First Order just as it did the Empire.

After making the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs, the ship owned by both Han Solo and Lando Calrissian at different times became a key player in the Rebellion because of its astounding speed and power. The opportunity to fly such a craft would be extraordinary. The Millennium Falcon would also surely be so much better than any modern-day travel options.

4

The Ability To Enter The World Between Worlds

The World Between Worlds Opens Up Fascinating Opportunities

The World Between Worlds is an incredible Star Wars concept that is presumably still being fleshed out in the franchise. Introduced in Star Wars Rebels, the World Between Worlds allowed Ezra Bridger to rescue Ahsoka Tano from her battle with Darth Vader, saving her life. The concept then returned in the Ahsoka show, giving Star Wars audiences some of the franchise’s best content to date, with Anakin and Ahsoka working through their complex, painful past, literally jumping into flashbacks.

With the World Between Worlds, endless opportunities and possibilities would open up were it to become part of the real world. While it would inevitably open up other cans of worms because its powers and mysteries would be so sought after, it would nevertheless be an amazing place for many. The ability to speak with loved ones who have passed on would alone be a compelling aspect of the World Between Worlds for many.

3

The Possibility Of Intragalactic Travel

Star Wars Characters Visit Countless Other Planets With Ease

One of the most incredible things about Star Wars is the way the characters are able to travel the galaxy in the manner modern-day technology allows people to travel the world. Throughout Star Wars, characters jump from planet to planet, often seemingly in record time. Star Wars planets are also interesting in that many have just one biome, such as Tatooine being a desert planet, making it seem even more like simple travel across regions rather than flying throughout the galaxy.

The ability to move as easily throughout the modern-day galaxy in real life would be a true game-changer. At present, just traveling to planets relatively nearby, such as Mars, seems daunting. Bringing the ease of space travel from Star Wars to the real world would change everything, no doubt also exposing so much more of the yet-undiscovered universe.

2

The Existence Of Force Ghosts

In Star Wars, No One Is Ever Really Gone… If They Have The Force Especially

One of the most intriguing Star Wars concepts is Force ghosts, which allow Jedi to effectively return to the galaxy in a spirit form. These ghosts date back to the original trilogy, but they have only grown with time. Following the appearances of Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Yoda as Force ghosts in Return of the Jedi, Qui-Gon Jinn, Luke, and Leia have all returned to Star Wars as Force ghosts. Moreover, the Ahsoka show season 1 finale suggested Anakin’s Force ghost may be back in the upcoming Ahsoka season 2.

Star Wars

Although this power has so far only been available to the Jedi, at least in terms of what has been shown on screen in Star Wars TV shows and movies, this would nevertheless be an amazing Star Wars concept to come to life. Questions of mortality and the afterlife are deeply human and ever-present, so the introduction of Force ghosts to the real world would be a particularly welcome one. Moreover, if the wisdom of Star Wars’ Force ghosts could be brought to the real world, that would prove to be a wealth of knowledge.

The Real-Life Versions Of Star Wars Characters

Having Star Wars Characters Become Real Would Be Thrilling

The single best thing that could come from the Star Wars galaxy is the characters themselves. Star Wars has introduced some truly remarkable characters over the years, and original and prequel trilogy fan favorites remain prominent despite the decades that have passed since. The opportunity to see these characters in real life is almost too exciting to imagine.

Of course, the actors of Star Wars characters are also incredible and do exist in real life. This is by no means to discredit them; rather, it’s a testament to how excellent the actors are that audiences are often excited about them and their characters in equal measure. However, the possibility of seeing Anakin Skywalker or Obi-Wan Kenobi in real life is truly thrilling, making it the best among the 10 Star Wars things that would be absolutely amazing to enter the real world.
