Warning! Spoilers for Silver Surfer: Rebirth #2 by Marvel Comics
In an epic cosmic battle with the fate of reality at stake, Thanos and Silver Surfer are about to join forces in stopping whoever is using the Reality Stone as they please. Marvel Comics confirms the Mad Titan and the hero wielding the Power Cosmic will do the “unthinkable” and fight alongside one another to take on an even bigger threat in the Marvel Universe. However, first, the pair are duking it out in what’s set to be an epic cosmic clash.
Silver Surfer and Thanos are longtime adversaries, as the two have fought against each other on numerous occasions with the Marvel Universe in the balance. In the new Silver Surfer: Rebirth miniseries from Ron Marz and Ron Lim, the two cosmic juggernauts are set to team up as someone is messing with the Reality Stone. In the series first issue, Mar-Vell made a surprise return from the dead thanks to the powerful gem, only to immediately die at the hands of Thanos. The Mad Titan reveals someone (or something) is using the Infinity Stone to reshape reality and that he needs the Silver Surfer’s help to stop them.
In a new preview for Silver Surfer: Rebirth #1 by Ron Marz, Ron Lim, Don Ho, Israel Silva, and VC’s Joe Sabino, the Silver Surfer is shocked that Thanos killed Mar-Vell. He asks the villain what he is doing and why he needed to kill Mar-Vell when he sought the hero’s assistance. Thanos tells him Mar-Vell was “dead already,” and that he needs his help. Silver Surfer responds by telling Thanos he will make him answer for his crimes, as the two begin what’s set to be a stunning cosmic battle. Check out the preview for Silver Surfer: Rebirth #2 below.
