So for one hour, the X-Men will have the extreme might of the deadliest Eternal.

Thanos’ grandfather Uranos (technically his biological grand-uncle) is one of the deadliest villains in the Marvel Universe. His genocidal ways and role in a Civil War between the Eternals ended in his imprisonment for hundreds of millions of years. However, during the A.X.E.: Judgment Day event, Druig freed Uranos the Undying, unleashing his powers on the X-Men on Arakko, where he killed thousands of Mutants in just a single hour. After being defeated and returned to exclusion, Uranos is now being used to form a new alliance between the Eternals and the X-Men.

In A.X.E.: Judgment Day #6 by Kieron Gillen, Valerio Schiti, Ivan Fiorelli, Marte Gracia, and VC’s Clayton Cowles from Marvel Comics, the X-Men, Eternals, and Avengers manage to defeat the Celestial enacting Judgment Day on Earth, with Ajak becoming a new god in the Marvel Universe with its powers. Zuras, taking over as the new Prime Eternal from Starfox, ends up sharing a peace offering with the X-Men for their war with the Mutants – as he gives Storm and the people of Arakko a deadly weapon in the form of Thanos’ grandfather, Uranos, the Undying.

The X-Men Now Have Thanos’ Grandfather’s Powers

Thanos’ Grandfather Just Became The X-Men’s Deadliest Weapon

The peace offering from the Eternals is significant, as the X-Men now have the powers of Thanos’ grandfather Uranos for an entire hour to do as they please. Considering how much damage Uranos can cause in one hour, the people of Arakko can unleash him and do major damage with their deadly new weapon. For the Eternals, it shows the X-Men they know they made a major error in trying to kill them – and gives their former enemies a weapon they can’t defend against.

It will be fascinating to see if the X-Men will end up unleashing Uranos soon. If they need help obliterating a powerful enemy or opponent, releasing Thanos’ grandfather for a single hour is probably the most effective and deadliest weapon they have in their arsenal. If the X-Men didn’t believe the Eternals were done with trying to kill them before, the peace offering is an excellent gesture towards a possible alliance. A.X.E.: Judgment Day #6 by Marvel Comics is in comic book stores now.
