Here’s a cast and character guide for horror sequel Texas Chainsaw 3D. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is director Tobe Hooper’s grueling, relentless horror classic that introduced audiences to horror icon Leatherface. Despite the cultural impact of the original it took Hooper twelve years to return for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, which was more of a dark comedy with lashings of gore provided by Tom Savini.
The franchise has even more of a twisted continuity than Halloween, with each sequel seemingly ignoring the last. The third and fourth movies were followed by 2003’s Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake from producer Michael Bay, which in turn was given a prequel with Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning. Texas Chainsaw 3D was an early adopter of the legacy sequel format, acting as a direct sequel to the 1974 original and ignoring everything else. The most recent entry was Leatherface, a 2017 prequel to both the original and Texas Chainsaw 3D.
Texas Chainsaw 3D didn’t receive the warmest of reviews, but it was a decent performer at the box-office. Here’s a cast and character for the 2013 sequel.
Alexandra Daddario – Heather Miller
Texas Chainsaw 3D was one of Alexandra Daddario’s first big roles, where she plays Heather, who inherits a huge mansion from the grandmother she never knew she had. While exploring the house she discovers both the dark history of her family and the town itself.
Dan Yeager – Leatherface / Jedidiah Sawyer
Dan Yeager is the latest actor to wield Leatherface’s titular saw. The movie opens with a flashback to the day after the original film, where the rest of the Sawyer clan are killed by an angry mob. In the present day, it’s revealed Leatherface has been hidden away by a relative, but the time for vengeance against those who killed his family is near.
Trey Songz – Ryan
Rapper Trey Songz plays Heather’s boyfriend Ryan in Texas Chainsaw 3D. While he appears to be a decent guy, it’s soon revealed he’s cheating on her with her best friend. The trio tries to escape after Leatherface makes his entrance known.
Tania Raymonde – Nikki
Lost’s Tania Raymonde plays Nikki, Heather’s best friend and co-worker. Despite dating Kenny (Keram Malicki-Sánchez), Nikki is secretly having an affair with Ryan and even lures him out to a barn while Heather – unbeknownst to them – is being attacked by Leatherface.
Paul Rae – Mayor Burt Hartman
Paul Rae is the town’s bullish Mayor Burt Hartman in Texas Chainsaw 3D, who led the opening massacre on the Sawyer family. When Heather later uncovers his part in it he tries to kill her, with help from his deputy son Carl (Scott Eastwood).
