Teen Mom 2 Vee Rivera has shocked fans by announcing her COVID-19 diagnosis, even though she had received her vaccination. Vee has become a fan favorite amongst MTV fans, thanks to her sweet nature and podcast with Kailyn Lowry.
Lowry is having trouble with one of her closest allies on Teen Mom 2. She and Vee Rivera’s friendship is said to be strained amid ongoing drama over their podcast. In April, it was noted that Rivera and Lowry were taking a break from working together. Over the years, viewers had watched as Vee often found herself in the middle of her husband Jo Rivera and his ex when it came to parenting their son, Isaac. While co-parenting wasn’t always easy, the three were eventually able to put aside their differences.
Vee took to her Instagram story to share that she had tested positive, saying she was the “covid queen.” The mother of one shared that her first test came back negative, but then she lost her taste and smell and decided to get tested a second time. To her surprise, the second test came back positive. She shared with fans that she was feeling much better and was wearing a mask inside the family home. Vee is also steering clear of her husband and daughter, Vivi. Both Jo and Vivi got tested and were negative for the coronavirus.
Fans felt she was handling her situation very responsibly. As the CDC has shared, you can still contract the virus, and no one is one hundred percent immune. The vaccine is meant to help the transmission numbers and alleviate the symptoms. Vee’s educated stance is a far cry from Lowry’s, who is an anti-vaxxer and admitted that she had not had her son, Lux, immunized. Lowry shared that Isaac and Lincoln were both vaccinated because she didn’t know any better at the time.
Thankfully, Vee is feeling better. As for her partnership with Lowry, nothing has been mentioned about when they will film together again. Both have been taking some time off. Teen Mom 2 has ended with Lowry still parenting her four children. She recently has made the news for becoming closer with her ex-husband, Javi Marroquin. Some believe she is trying to annoy his ex, Lauren, but the two seem to be getting on very well. Vee is being taken care of by her husband and looking forward to being able to taste her favorite food again in the near future.
