Teen Mom: Lauren Will Not Be Charged for Allegedly Hitting Javi

Lauren Comeau will not be charged with domestic violence, after Teen Mom 2 star Javi Marroquin accused her of hitting him while he was picking up his son. Lauren and Javi dated for a couple of years, and were even engaged for a little while. After welcoming their son Eli, the two split up after multiple rumors began swirling that Javi was cheating on her. One of those rumors came from Kailyn after she claimed on the show that he tried to hook up with her while he was still with Lauren. This resulted in the couple breaking up on bad terms, and despite reconciliation rumors, the two could not get on the same page as a couple. They are, however, committed to successfully co-parenting their son Eli and try to remain as civil as possible.

Try as they may, some things are easier said than done. Despite their best efforts to remain civil, an incident occurred recently during a scheduled swap of their son. After the pick up, Javi called the police and claimed Lauren had hit him. This came a month after he had asked a judge for a restraining order against her. When news of the police report was made public, Lauren spoke out denying the claims she hit him, and called Javi a liar. She claimed he was the aggressive one in the situation, entering her home when she repeatedly had asked him not to. Kailyn and Javi responded to these claims by doing an Instagram Live together, claiming Javi would never lie about something like this.

Despite the claims made against her, Lauren will not be facing any charges, for allegedly hitting her ex-fiancé. As reported by The Sun, the Dover Police Department concluded their investigation of the matter, and decided no charges should be filed. They claimed their investigation was intensive, and included testimony from a number of different parties. They spoke to both Javi and Lauren, and received completely different stories from the both of them. They also spoke to witnesses, both who were there and who were not, and ultimately made their decision. What likely led to the decision not to press charges was the fact that both Javi and Lauren expressed they would like to handle the matter without police intervention.

Prior to the conclusion of the investigation, Lauren’s job was threatened by the accusations made against her. Lauren works at a company where she sells holistic makeup, skin care products, and nutrition products. Fans of Teen Mom reached out to her employers and criticized them for keeping Lauren on their staff after she was accused of the crime. After they were called out, a spokesperson for the company stated they were made aware of the situation, and are taking the accusations very seriously. They claimed their privacy policy prevented them from speaking on the matter any further without Lauren’s consent, but assured them that they are looking into the accusations.

Javi and Lauren both told the police that they want to handle the situation without the police. This seems to be a pattern with the two of them, as Javi has now gotten the authorities involved on two separate occasions. For the sake of Eli, hopefully these two will be able to make it work and remain incident free for the rest of their time co-parenting together. Their struggles have been documented on Teen Mom 2 so far, and will likely be documented further during future seasons.
