Kailyn Lowry of Teen Mom 2 recently spoke out about her son’s brush with danger and thanked her ex-husband, Javi Marroquin, for protecting him from a potentially very scary incident. Javi first stepped onto the scene during Season 4 of Teen Mom 2, when he became the sweet boyfriend of Kailyn. To fans, it felt as if Kailyn had finally been able to find a decent guy, and the two ended up getting married in a small wedding while she was pregnant with their son, Lincoln.
Javi knew he needed to provide for his family and, shortly after they wed, joined the military. Javi’s job deployed him often, leaving Kailyn at home with two young boys and nothing to do. The relationship became strained when she admitted to cheating on him, and the two later divorced.
During Kailyn’s Coffee Convos podcast, the mother of four opened up about a frightening incident that took place with her youngest son, Creed. It turns out that during a family trip to Punta Cana, Creed ended up in the emergency room. Javi came through and helped out his former partner by lending his bilingual language skills to a very scary situation. The 29-year-old shared that everything happened fast, saying, “Let me just say, Creed is fine. He’s perfectly fine.”
Creed is currently into crawling and climbing, and found himself in a bit of trouble while vacationing in Mexico. While playing around, a table corner caught the toddler’s eye, and the Teen Mom star was forced to take him to a hospital to get him checked out. The podcast host shared that doctors “put little butterfly stitches on him,” but that she was so overwhelmed that she had to call Javi at one point, who was in the United States. Creed bounced back and seemed to enjoy the rest of the trip. During her show, Kailyn gave a shout-out to Javi, who pitched in as a translator, saying, “I had never needed him to come through harder than what he did for me yesterday.”
After hearing the news, fans feel it is safe to assume that both Javi and Kailyn are on good terms and working well together when it comes to parenting. As for Teen Mom 2 star Kailyn, she still made sure to enjoy her time down in Mexico, which included beach picnics and snorkeling excursions with her four favorite boys.
