Teen Mom: Farrah Abraham Moves Out Of California After Being Arrested

Former Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham has decided to move out of California after being arrested outside a Hollywood bar two weeks ago. Farrah, who got her start as a 17-year-old on MTV’s 16 and Pregnant before moving on to its spin-off program, is no stranger to controversy. Before her 12-year-old daughter Sophia was even born, Farrah was known for having a tough relationship with her parents Debra and Michael; the three were frequently seen fighting throughout her time with MTV, with Debra even catching a charge for assault against her daughter in 2010.

Farrah, who was born in Omaha, Nebraska, was raised across the border in Council Bluffs, Iowa, before moving to The Golden State in 2016. The next year, Farrah was fired by MTV for her involvement in the adult entertainment industry; the reality star had been in several verbal altercations on Teen Mom prior to being let go. In 2018, Farrah was arrested for the first time for allegedly hitting a security guard at The Beverly Hills Hotel; after pleading guilty to resisting arrest, the star was placed on two years of probation. Unfortunately, history repeated itself for Farrah after being filmed in front of Grandmaster Records on January 15. Accused of getting into an altercation with a security guard once more, Farrah defended herself on social media the next day with hashtags including “#hatecrime” and “#womenhatingonwomen.”

Farrah has a court date set for May 19, but the 30-year-old has no plans to stay in Los Angeles until then. Speaking to TMZ over the weekend, who were also the first to report both arrests, Farrah tearfully explained that she has chosen to move out of California after her detainment was filmed and circulated. Speaking out about how the ordeal has affected her mental health, Farrah admitted that the situation has left her in a dark place. “I’m trying to stay positive about it because I was really suicidal this week,” Farrah said while standing next to her U-Haul truck. “I’ve just had such a hard time dealing with [the arrest] … I’ve been working so hard on myself these past two weeks since the incident.” TMZ‘s interview with Farrah can be seen by checking out the link in their Instagram bio.

The public ordeal has not just affected Farrah’s mental health, according to Page Six, but also left lasting physical damage. With U-Haul employees seen working in the background, Farrah also explained that she was not able to move her own possessions due to sustained injuries. “You can’t illegally cuff someone, then basically break their arm, tear everything, and it is like severe,” Farrah expressed to the camera, although her citizen’s arrest was indeed legal. “I hope I don’t have to get neck surgery and a shoulder surgery. And I’m working really hard on my physical therapy.”

Farrah’s personal problems have left a mark on her former castmates—fans of Teen Mom may remember a showdown between the star and Maci Bookout over Farrah’s sex work—but the reintroduction of Farrah onto MTV’s newest spin-off show, Teen Mom: Family Reunion, has put the wild personality back on television. Although Farrah has managed to stay in the headlines over the years with her unpredictable actions, much of the cast and crew were happy to have her back; despite her guest appearance, she certainly won’t be returning to Teen Mom, which aired its 9th season late last year. With Farrah going through such a hard time, many remain on her side and wish her the best.
