Ashley Jones responded to pregnancy rumors that were swirling in the Teen Mom 2 star’s Instagram comments after she shared pictures in which it seemed like she gained some weight. Fans first got to know Ashley when she began appearing on Teen Mom: Young & Pregnant in 2018. She shared on the show that she got pregnant with her daughter Holly when she was 19 years old and her baby daddy Bar Smith was 24. Ashley transitioned to appearing on Teen Mom 2 in the second half of season 10, as a replacement for original cast member Chelsea DeBoer. Her early storylines featured her struggles to get along with Bar’s mother, and later Bar himself. They broke up for a short time, during which Bar changed his appearance by getting face tattoos and started acting out.
While the two of them have had their share of relationship struggles, they are committed to being good co-parents. Unlike other Teen Mom 2 couples, Ashley and Bar managed to get back on the same page and are in a relationship again. Bar is turning his life around, having gotten his GED and starting the process to get his face tattoos removed. In an interview with co-star Kailyn Lowry, Ashley revealed her living situation prior to filming with MTV was less than ideal. She admitted to living in a trap house with Bar and their daughter and stripping to make ends meet. Ashley claimed her mother convinced her to move back home once she finally opened up to her about how bad their situation was. She attributes her strong connection with Bar to having experienced these tough times together.
Ashely is now responding to Instagram commenters who are wondering if she is pregnant. As reported by Monsters and Critics, Ashley denied being pregnant after getting multiple comments asking her about it. The Teen Mom 2 star responded to a comment saying she was giving off pregnant vibes by saying she “wonder(s) when (she) will have this baby” everyone keeps asking her about. She continued by saying fans should not expect her to be pregnant with another baby for at least a few years. Ashley gave the specific year until which fans shouldn’t think she is pregnant, claiming they shouldn’t expect an announcement from her until at least after 2024. Ashley then thanked fans for being worried about her, but calmed their fears by saying she has just gained around 40 pounds and that she is really happy with herself.
Ashley’s boyfriend and baby daddy Bar also took to the comments section to defend his girlfriend. He wrote that Ashley’s critics act as if they have never gained weight in their lifetime. He went on to say he likes her new body and that they are really happy together. Still, he’s not without his own critics as fans of Teen Mom recently called Bar out for using a prop gun in his latest music video. He is aspiring to be a rapper, but fans thought he was promoting gang violence by including the guns in his video. They liked the song but said they could have done without the inclusion of guns. Bar defended himself by explaining her only showed the guns when the lyrics supported it.
Now that Ashley has ruled out having another baby anytime soon, it will be interesting to see what is next for her. She is definitely committed to creating a better life for herself and her daughter, so it will be interesting to see what the next steps in her journey will be. This Teen Mom 2 star certainly has her priorities in order, and will likely get where she wants to be in life.
