Ted Lasso Season 3 Trailer Will Make You Believe & Reveals Premiere Date

After leaving audiences hanging for nearly two years, the first Ted Lasso season 3 trailer has arrived, revealing its March premiere date. Created by Scrubs‘ Bill Lawrence, Joe Kelly and stars Jason Sudeikis and Brendan Hunt, the Apple TV+ comedy series revolves around the titular American college football coach as he’s recruited to coach a struggling Premier League soccer team, despite having no experience in the sport. Alongside Sudeikis and Hunt, the ensemble cast for Ted Lasso includes Hannah Waddingham, Jeremy Swift, Phil Dunster, Brett Goldstein, also a writer on the show, Nick Mohammed, Juno Temple and Sarah Niles.

While the question continues to linger about the show’s future, Apple TV+ has released the first Ted Lasso season 3 trailer.

The video doesn’t quite offer much new footage from the new season, it does see Roy Kent and the other AFC Richmond team members crafting their own “Believe” signs, inspired by their eponymous coach. The Ted Lasso season 3 trailer also confirms the show will return on March 15.

Everything We Know About Ted Lasso Season 3 & Beyond

One of the more anticipated elements of Ted Lasso season 3 is what comes next from Nick Mohammed’s Nate following his betrayal at the end of season 2 in which he left AFC Richmond to head to West Ham United, thus working for Rebecca’s cruel ex-husband Rupert. Audiences were heartbroken to see the character’s seemingly villainous turn following his sweet rise to being the “wonder kid” in season 2. Mohammed has teased that season 3 will explore whether Nate can ultimately be redeemed following his “ultimate betrayal“, while hinting that he will be sensing a lot of loneliness after leaving Ted and his former friends.

The other big thing Ted Lasso season 3 is expected to explore is how the team will handle their recent promotion back to the Premier League at the end of season 2. Paired with the new Ted Lasso season 3 trailer is a plot description indicating that despite their excitement for the promotion, the behind-the-scenes chaos of Nate and Keeley’s departures and Ted’s own personal issues at home could lead to everything “falling apart both on and off the pitch“. However, with the trailer seeing the various members of Team Lasso making their own “Believe” signs, it appears Ted’s optimism may have efficiently set in with his team.

While it’s exciting to learn when the show will finally return, the question still remains whether Ted Lasso will continue after season 3. Sudeikis and Hunt have previously indicated that season 3 will be the final chapter of the show, with Warner Bros. Television Group CEO Channing Dungey recently confirming they envisioned a “three-act structure” for the show, but hinted that its success may have inspired everyone involved to keep it going. It will be interesting to see if the door is left open for the future when Ted Lasso season 3 premieres on March 15.
