Superman Vs. Boimler: Star Trek’s Jack Quaid Shares BTS Voiceover Comparison

Superman Vs. Boimler: Star Trek’s Jack Quaid Shares BTS Voiceover Comparison

Jack Quaid takes fans into his voiceover booths to show the differences between how he voices Lieutenant Brad Boimler in Star Trek: Lower Decks and Superman in My Adventures With Superman. Quaid has the leading role in both animated series, which he balances with his ongoing live-action gig as Hughie on The Boys and his roles in major motion pictures like Scream and Oppenheimer. It’s fascinating and funny to see how Jack approaches Boimler compared to the Man of Steel.

On Twitter/X, Jack Quaid shared two videos of him performing Superman in some anguish compared to Lt. Brad Boimler, who hilariously expresses a mixture of shock and fear. It’s also amusing to see Jack screaming as Superman since Boimler is known for his screams on Star Trek: Lower Decks. Check out his videos below:

Jack Quaid also kindly answered a question on Twitter/X about his voiceover work, and he took his followers into the process of voicing Boimler on Star Trek: Lower Decks and the Man of Steel on My Adventures With Superman. Check out his thread below:

Star Trek: Lower Decks Leveled Up Brad Boimler

Lower Decks season 4 was Boimler’s biggest yet.

Jack Quaid got to play Ensign Brad Boimler in live-action in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds‘ crossover episode, but Bradward got to the next level in Star Trek: Lower Decks season 4. Inspired by meeting his heroes, Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount) and Lt. Spock (Ethan Peck), Boimler heroically saved the USS Voyager from three holographic villains in Lower Decks season 4’s premiere. Boimler was promoted to Lieutenant, junior grade, along with his Lower Decker pals on the USS Cerritos. As a newly minted Lieutenant, Boimler got new quarters and more responsibility, like leading his first Away Mission.

In Star Trek: Lower Decks season 4’s finale, Boimler became Acting Captain and led the USS Cerritos on a mission to rescue Lt. Beckett Mariner (Tawny Newsome) from disgraced ex-Starfleet Cadet Nicholas Locarno (Robert Duncan McNeill). Boimler even got to test out his “Captain’s voice” and got a rave review of his performance from Commander Jack Ransom (Jerry O’Connell). Boimler shows signs of greatness as a future Starfleet Captain, and he’s sure to keep rising to the occasion (while screaming in terror) in Star Trek: Lower Decks season 5.
