Ciara Miller joined the Summer House cast in season 5, and fans were impressed by the poised, young nurse, but viewers are seeing an immature side to her in season 6. Ciara was introduced to the group by Luke Gulbranson, whom she had a romantic past with. Luke had hooked up with former Summer House star Hannah Berner in season 4, and the cast was nervous about possible drama when Ciara arrived. However, Hannah welcomed Ciara with open arms, and the two quickly formed a tight friendship, along with Summer House castmate Paige DeSorbo.
Summer House season 5 had a lot of restrictions because of COVID-19, which had the housemates stuck in the house together for weeks. They weren’t allowed to go home for the week and come back during the weekends as per usual, and the cast had to work remotely from The Hamptons’ house. A lot of the time, viewers saw Ciara, Paige, and Hannah lounge around in bed all day without lifting a finger. Summer House fans gave the three a pass last season, but viewers can’t help noticing Ciara’s immature behavior is carrying over to season 6. While the whole house pitched in to clean various times, Ciara would blatantly announce that she had no intention to help.
Ciara lost major points with Summer House fans this season when she caused problems in the house by pining over Southern Charm star Austen Kroll. Ciara and Austen met in the Summer House spinoff, Winter House, and tried to take their relationship beyond the show. Unfortunately, the two were on different pages and couldn’t make things work. When Austen visited The Hamptons’ house for Summer House costar Lindsay Hubbard’s birthday, Ciara witnessed them making out and threw a jealous fit during Andrea Denver’s dinner. Fellow Summer House star Danielle Olivera tried to stick up for Lindsay, which resulted in Ciara throwing a wine glass at her and ruining dinner for everybody.
Summer House fans were disappointed in Ciara’s immature behavior, especially over a guy that was clearly not into her. They slammed her for ruining Andrea’s Italian dinner, which he had worked so hard to share with his housemates. Andrea was also sharing a personal story about a recent heartbreak that had him in tears. However, the spotlight quickly turned to Ciara and Danielle’s argument, and Andrea left the table. Ciara showed that she didn’t have any regard for Andrea’s feelings at the moment and took out her frustrations out at the wrong time.
Ciara, at 26-years-old, is the youngest cast member of Summer House. While that may be part of the reason for her immaturity, fans, along with Lindsay, think she’s influenced by Paige. Ciara never bonded with the older women on the show, such as Lindsay and Danielle. Lindsay even mentioned in an episode that at 35, she is way too old to be fighting with Ciara over Austen. Perhaps Summer House season 6 will open Ciara’s eyes and hopefully allow her to grow from her mistakes.
