Since Summer House premiered in 2017, there have been a few villains entering and exiting the house. While they may not be outright villains in real life, they were at the center of the drama most of the time and received a lot of backlash from the fans. Some of these cast members even left as the viewer’s perception wasn’t able to be changed following their villainous behavior on the show.
When a new season of Summer House starts, viewers tend to give the cast members a clean state for the season. However, sometimes it’s hard to forget some of their bad actions from the year prior, and the audience will hold it against them until they can redeem themselves. For the cast of Summer House, some viewers have been able to forgive the villains of the past, while others have not.
4. Kyle Cooke
Kyle Cooke may be the king of Summer House today, but he hasn’t always held that title. During the first couple of seasons of the Bravo series, the audience wasn’t happy with the way he treated his then-girlfriend, Amanda Batula. In the first season, he broke up with her so he could be single while in the summer house. However, he would call her every weekend for a “sleepover.” He even cheated on her after two years of being an official couple. However, Kyle has managed to redeem himself as he and Amanda have become the “it couple” of Summer House.
3. Luke Gulbranson
During Luke Gulbranson’s first season on Summer House last year, viewers believed that he was playing with Hannah Berner’s feelings the whole summer. Even her best friend and housemate, Paige DeSorbo, caught on to Luke’s promiscuous ways. Fans didn’t like how Luke would pursue Hannah on the weekends but would hook up with other women during the week. Luke was even dating another girl who he admitted to sleeping with while pursuing Hannah.
2. Lauren Wirkus
At the beginning of Summer House, viewers were rooting for Lauren Wrikus and Carl Radke’s relationship to work out. However, the mind of the fans changed after the way Lauren reacted to Carl keeping things causal. Even though Carl could have been more respectful, Lauren was just as disrespectful to Carl. After Stephen spoke about Carl’s threesome with a male, Lauren never had Carl’s back. Stephen revealed a private matter of Carl’s, and Lauren did nothing to support him.
1. Hannah Berner
The most talked-about Summer House villain this year is, of course, Hannah Berner. For the duration of Summer House season 5, Hannah made it seem as though Luke was leading her on when, in fact, she had a boyfriend the whole time. Hannah also constantly brought up that Kyle cheated on Amanda and would even claim people in the house were jealous of her. At the reunion, Carl brought up when Hannah spoke negatively about Luke’s mental health and thoughts of suicide during a podcast episode from two years ago. Shortly after the reunion aired, Hannah announced she will not be returning for season 6.
Summer House season 6 is already underway, with a couple of the villains above making a return. Even though Kyle and Luke were once perceived as villains, they have made a complete 180 and are now considered the good guys of the house. New cast members are expected to join the new season, so a new villain might emerge in season 6.
