USA Network, the channel behind the recent streaming hit Suits, will be going back to making original scripted TV shows, inspired by popular shows it created in the 2010s. The network stopped producing new scripted series in 2020, with its only original series as of writing, Chucky, having been developed for Syfy as well. However, Suits became a hit on Netflix and Peacock this year despite ending on USA in 2019.
Now, TVLine reports USA Network is gearing up to create new scripted programming following Suits‘ unprecedented streaming success. Shows will be inspired by many 2010s hits created on the network such as Burn Notice, Monk, and Psych. The shows going into production are expected to air in 2025, with the network spending up to $3 million per episode of these new programs.
