The Arkham franchise is one of the most popular Batman series, and its fans have been waiting to see its world expand beyond the scope of Batman and Gotham for some time. While the core series has explored the Dark Knight, his allies, and the panoply of villains Bruce has encountered over the years, it’s held back on exploring the greater DC Universe. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is a game that promises to give fans what they’ve been asking for by getting to play as the Squad’s iconic members and take on DC’s heavy hitters.

This wouldn’t be the first tie-in comic the ‘Arkhamverse’ has had. There were previous comics to serve as interquels from Batman: Arkham Origins all the way to Batman: Arkham Knight. But this is the first additional property to tie into Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. And it’s a good thing too, as the upcoming game seems to be a radical departure from what gamers have come to expect from the Arkham series. Suicide Squad: Kill Arkham Asylum could be a great way to set the stage before the game drops.
