Succession Season 3 Will Premiere in October

Succession season 3 will premiere in October. A satirical dramedy created by Jesse Armstrong, the series debuted on HBO in June 2018. It centers around the exceptionally dysfunctional and obscenely wealthy Roy family, who own the global media and entertainment conglomerate Waystar RoyCo. In particular, Succession focuses on the children of Logan Roy (Brian Cox) as they fight and scheme in hopes of controlling the company.

Succession last aired an episode, its season 2 finale, in October 2019. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the HBO hit was among the many productions that have experienced delays. But the show has been back to work in recent months, offering updates on when fans should expect the critically-acclaimed drama to return. It’s also been reported that some very familiar faces will be sharing the spotlight with the Roy clan in upcoming episodes, including Adrien Brody and Alexander Skarsgård. A teaser trailer for Succession season 3 has also been shared, while fans wait to hear about a premiere date.

Now, Succession has announced that season 3 will make its debut in October. An exact premiere day has not yet been revealed. The announcement quickly led to a flood of replies, asking if there would be a full trailer for the season. You can check the announcement below.

The teaser revealed that the drama will pick up shortly after the explosive Succession season 2 finale, which saw Kendall Roy (Jeremy Strong) take his best shot at pushing Logan out as the head of Waystar. It similarly included a scene that suggested Logan’s children might actually form a united front against their abusive and manipulative father. But as the series has made clear, Kendall has his own issues with younger siblings Shiv (Sarah Snook) and Roman (Kieran Culkin) that have tended to get in the way of ousting Logan. It’s similarly true that Logan has some devasting leverage that he could conceivably deploy against Kendall.

In a manner that’s quite like HBO’s The White Lotus, but perhaps even more improbably, the writers have gotten scores of viewers to care about the interpersonal rivalries of the Roys. Whether that’s out of a desire to see them all fail, or due to some empathy for the characters, new audiences have checked out the series during the two-year break between season 2 and season 3. Soon, when the popular drama returns, the long-awaited confrontation between father and son will finally take place. Plus, with other new additions like actresses Sanaa Lathan and Hope Davis, Succession season 3 is bound to have plenty of surprises.
