Stephen King’s The Boogeyman: Where You’ve Seen The Cast

The Boogeyman cast is full of recognizable actors from film and television breathing life into the characters of this chilling Stephen King supernatural horror tale. Based on King’s 1973 short story of the same name, first published in the magazine Cavalier and later included in the 1978 collection Night Shift, The Boogeyman revolves around a therapist and his two daughters, who are grieving the loss of the girls’ mother. When one of the therapist’s patients shows up at their house, he leaves behind a malicious paranormal entity that begins preying on the family. The adaptation released in theaters on June 2nd, 2023.

King’s story was adapted into a screenplay by A Quiet Place creators Scott Beck and Bryan Woods and Black Swan co-writer Mark Heyman, and that script was brought to the screen by Dashcam director Rob Savage and Stranger Things producer Shawn Levy. An adaptation of The Boogeyman was in development as far back as 2018 (via Variety) and it took five years for the project to come together.
