Code 8: Part II has become a Netflix hit. The new movie, which stars cousins Robbie and Stephen Amell, is a follow-up to the 2019 science fiction movie Code 8, which followed a young man named Connor (Robbie Amell) who used his superpowers to aid a gang of criminals in an attempt to quickly get money for his sick mother. The sequel, which also stars Sirena Gulamgaus, Altair Vincent, and Jean Yoon, follows Connor trying to rebuild his life and finding himself in the middle of a life-and-death struggle between a wicked police officer and his teenage target.
Netflix has now calculated their Top 10 English-language movies globally for the week of February 26 through March 3. The movie Code 8: Part II has topped the chart, taking the No. 1 slot in its debut week. Thanks to 20 million viewers, the title has been streamed for a total of 33.4 million hours, landing it above other Netflix original hits such as Tyler Perry’s Mea Culpa and the Adam Sandler vehicle Spaceman.

Code 8: Part II is the sequel to the 2019 sci-fi action film by director Jeff Chan. Connor has been released from prison and intends to turn his life around, but he is dragged back in when a teenager named Pav crosses his path. Running afoul of corrupt police officers, Pav flees with the help of Connor, but to succeed, he’ll have to reach back out to his former criminal partner, Garrett.
