Star Wars Is Taking Over Disneyland For The “Season Of The Force

The Disneyland Resort will be taken over by Star Wars for a new event called “Season of the Force” next year. Disney Parks have only added more and more from the Star Wars galaxy to their various properties over the years, most notably Disneyland’s and Walt Disney World’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge lands. Galaxy’s Edge, otherwise known as the planet of Batuu, has since allowed Disney Parks to bring even more characters to life, including Din Djarin and Grogu of The Mandalorian, Ahsoka Tano and General Hera Syndulla of Ahsoka, and even more. Now, they’re adding a brand-new exciting event to Disneyland, one that goes beyond the borders of Batuu.

“Season of the Force,” as announced by Star Wars, will be a Star Wars takeover of areas of the Disneyland Resort lasting from April 5 to June 2, 2024. This takeover will include Space Mountain’s transformation into Hyperspace Mountain, including “specially themed food and beverage, merchandise, and more” across the park. The “celebration of the Star Wars saga” will also include the debut of new adventures in Star Tours – The Adventures Continue, as previously announced at Star Wars Celebration 2023. Inside Batuu will be a brand-new perspective on Disneyland’s fireworks, including “galactic music” that will play throughout Galaxy’s Edge.

The Season Of The Force Is The Perfect Star Wars Celebration

Star Wars Galaxy's Edge Interview

“Season of the Force” will take place during the next Star Wars Day, or May 4, 2024. This makes the event the perfect way to celebrate Star Wars, with both Galaxy’s Edge to explore in addition to other Star Wars additions and takeovers. The Disney Parks have already been known to create special “May The Fourth Be With You” merchandise on Star Wars Day, which promises this newest May 4 tribute and its various merchandise will be even more special. Hopefully, the Walt Disney World Resort will still at least have some merchandise to look forward to, but if not, it will be well worth the trip to Disneyland in California to witness the Star Wars takeover.
