The voice of the cartoon version of Ezra Bridger, Taylor Gray, and his live-action counterpart, Eman Esfandi, were filmed by Diana Lee Inosanto dancing together at the Emmy Disney after-party. This moment is reminiscent of the famous Spider-Man pointing meme, in which multiple Spider-Men point at each other in disbelief. Watching the Ezra Bridger actors hang out and have fun together is heartwarming to witness.

Eman Esfandi and Taylor Gray were the perfect choices to play Ezra Bridger. Even though Gray was only able to use his voice when portraying the character, everything from his expert use of vocal inflection and tone to his pacing fits the character to a tee. Eman Esfandi did an amazing job at building off Gray’s excellent vocal performance to translate the character to live-action. His mannerisms fit that of the cartoon, and he keeps the humor of Ezra while adding a layer of maturity to the character, showing he has aged since Rebels. These actors are truly fantastic.

While there are no known plans to do this, it would be interesting to see Star Wars take a page out of Marvel’s book and go the multiverse route. This is less far-fetched than it may appear at first glance. After all, with the World Between Worlds allowing characters to jump around along their timeline and the existence of places such as Mortis, it isn’t that much of a stretch to imagine there being multiple universes.

If Star Wars were to go this route, Ezra Bridger would be the perfect character to use to introduce the multi-verse. His past with the World Between Worlds makes him a great candidate for this, as he has already seen that the Force can create a netherworld. Further, his ability to roll with the punches and take things in stride while also having human reactions (unlike Jedi such as Mace Windu who tend to remain stern in all situations) would really help to sell the concept to the audience.
