Star Wars Art Shows The Heroes Of The Mandalorian Movie Assemble

Star Wars Art Shows The Heroes Of The Mandalorian Movie Assemble

New Star Wars art features the likely heroes of The Mandalorian movie coming together with an impressive roster. Announced at Star Wars Celebration 2023, the exact release date for the upcoming movie from Dave Filoni is currently unknown. However, it’s been confirmed that it will serve as the culmination of everything seen in Star Wars’ New Republic shows thus far, and this new fan art shows how exciting that concept truly is.

Coming from artist @CaptainYoron on Twitter, a new art piece features several of the New Republic’s heroes assembled together for the new Mandalorian movie. Entitled “United Front”, it’s quite exciting seeing Ahsoka Tano, Luke Skywalker, Din Djarin, Grogu, Boba Fett, Fennec Shand, and Bo-Katan Kryze all together as a full team ready to protect the galaxy from dark forces. As such, it’s quite an impressive proof-of-concept for what could be seen in the actual movie once it releases:

This exciting new piece of fan art also highlights the idea that the Mandalorian will likely feature Jedi and Mandalorians united together in the Star Wars timeline (in more ways than one). For instance, while there are both Jedi and Mandalorians featured in this line-up, Grogu is notably a Jedi who became a Mandalorian. Although she’s not featured, Sabine Wren will probably be involved in the upcoming movie as well, conversely a Mandalorian who became a Jedi.

What Will The Mandalorian Movie Be About?

Thrawn Is Likely The Big Bad

Star Wars Art Shows The Heroes Of The Mandalorian Movie Assemble

Grand Admiral Thrawn has finally returned to the known Star Wars galaxy after a decade in exile in the aftermath of Ahsoka. It stands to reason that the former Imperial leader will serve as the primary threat in the new Mandalorian movie as he seeks to lead the Imperial Remnant and restore the Empire. To that end, it’s widely expected that the Mandalorian movie will essentially be a canonical adaptation of Legends’ Heir to the Empire novel by author Timothy Zahn.

The threat of Thrawn would certainly warrant such an impressive collection of heroes coming together as seen in this new fan art. At any rate, all of these heroes uniting to prevent another galactic conflict would very much be worthy of the big screen. While there will likely be more New Republic shows before the release of The Mandalorian movie, the next Star Wars film will likely be released within the next few years.
