Squealer Trailer Offers A Chilling Look At Tyrese Gibson & Theo Rossi’s New Thriller

Screen Rant is thrilled to debut the new trailer for the horror thriller Squealer. Inspired by real-world events, the movie follows a local police officer and street-wise social worker as they begin investigating the disappearance of women in their small town. Clues lead them to a remote pig farm, where they discover a dark secret about the local butcher. The movie delves into the world of a horrifying serial killer as these two attempt to uncover the truth about his actions.

Serial killers have long fascinated people, whether through procedural television series, podcasts, documentaries, or horror movies. They have been at the heart of the horror genre, with many of the most infamous horror villains being serial killers. However, while Squealer leans into the horror and thriller genres, it also taps into the reality of what serial killers can be. By basing the movie on real-world events, it grounds the horrors of Squealer in reality instead of the fantastical, like with Halloween, Friday the Thirteenth, or Nightmare on Elm Street franchises.

More About Squealer

Squealer Trailer Offers A Chilling Look At Tyrese Gibson & Theo Rossi’s New Thriller

Screen Rant’s exclusive trailer for Squealer begins with a woman being wheeled into the hospital. The scene intercuts between the doctors trying to help her as they go through her injuries and her memories of the killer who attempted to murder her, as well as her escape. A social worker tries to gain her trust, asking who hurt her. She follows up with the police, but they seem more annoyed by her interest than receptive.

The trailer cuts between the killer, a pig farmer, and the people investigating the missing girls. Although the police seem to believe, at least initially, that women going missing is not an unusual occurrence, with most turning up. Interestingly, there is a man that the serial killer is often shown interacting with, but his role in this remains a mystery. While the social worker is framed as the hero, what seems more intriguing is that there appears to be an even darker secret than a serial killer murdering women and likely feeding their remains to his animals.

Squealer is directed by Andy Armstrong from a script written by Armstrong and Danielle Burgio. The horror movie stars Tyrese Gibson, Wes Chatham, Theo Rossi, and Burgio. The movie is executive produced by Armstrong, Burgio, Barry Booker, Stan Wertlieb, Josh Spector, Cameron Goodrich, Shaun Sanghani, Lee Broda, and Daniel Cummings. Squealer has a runtime of 100 minutes and is rated R.

Squealer will be released in theaters and on digital on November 3.
