Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse’s Soundtrack Unveils The Making Of New Vinyl Edition [EXCLUSIVE]

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse blew open the world that Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse introduced, showcasing more Spider-Man variants, more universes, and a story too large in scope for a single film. On top of the multitude of Easter eggs and blink-and-you’ll-miss-it references in the movie, Spider-Man: Across the Spider Verse’s cliffhanger ending gives it prime re-watch potential, especially in the lead-up to 2024’s Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is even likely to be a major awards season contender; its predecessor took home the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature in 2019.

The huge ambition behind the Spider-Verse series extends beyond its sprawling story and stunning artistic design; the music of the films defies genre and utilizes a multitude of instruments and production techniques in service of a unique soundscape. This is thanks to composer Daniel Pemberton, who has spoken with Screen Rant about his wide-ranging vision for the score. Although Pemberton’s music for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has been available to stream on digital platforms, it is now available on vinyl for the first time. Daniel Pemberton’s standout themes for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse bring musical life to Spider-Man 2099, Gwen Stacy, Spider-Man India, and the nearly-cut Spider-Punk as surely as they do to Miles Morales. Now, music fans and vinyl collectors can hear those themes pop off of kaleidoscopic, multiversal orange and purple marbled LPs in this two-LP set. The track list for the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse vinyl release was hand-selected by Pemberton himself, and features highlights from the score such as “Guggenheim Assemble”, “Nueva York Train Chase”, and “Mumbattan Madness”.

The vinyl packaging also celebrates the groundbreaking film, with the records themselves housed in printed sleeves with custom art. An 8-page art booklet features liner notes by Pemberton alongside art from the film, and a double-sided collectible poster is included. A soft-touch gatefold jacket protects the package as a whole and catches the eye with stunning artwork.
