Sniper: G.R.I.T. Trailer Offers High-Octane Action With Chad Michael Collins & Josh Brener [EXCLUSIVE]

Sniper: G.R.I.T. is the 10th film in the long-running Sniper series. The first Sniper film was released in 1993 and starred Tom Berenger as its protagonist, Master Gunnery Sergeant Tom Beckett. The franchise was eventually taken over by Chad Michael Collins as Brandon Beckett, the son of Berenger’s character. With Sniper: G.R.I.T. on the way, Collins will soon have appeared in more Sniper films (7) than Berenger (6), meaning the mantle of franchise lead is being well and truly passed on.

The 2022 film Sniper: Rogue Mission’s lack of Tom Berenger and Billy Zane marked the first time neither franchise star appeared in an entry, and Sniper: G.R.I.T. seems set to continue that trend. Screen Rant is excited to offer a first look at the trailer for Sniper: G.R.I.T., which, despite the lack of Zane and Berenger, promises another round of exciting, stylized action and a wealth of returning characters. Sniper: G.R.I.T. continues a major plot point from Sniper: Rogue Mission, which is the Global Response and Intelligence Team (G.R.I.T.). The story centers around the kidnapping of one of the team’s agents—Lady Death, played by Luna Fujimoto—by an international terrorist cult, sending Brandon Beckett and the rest of the team around the world on a rescue mission. Sniper: G.R.I.T. was written and directed by Oliver Thompson, who wrote Sniper: Assassin’s End and Sniper: Rogue Mission and directed the latter.

The cast of Sniper: G.R.I.T. features a number of characters that debuted in Sniper: Rogue Mission, including Josh Brener, known for portraying one of the most likable Silicon Valley characters (Big Head). Ryan Robbins is also back as Zero, as is Dennis Haysbert as Gabriel Stone. With so many characters and elements from Sniper: Rogue Mission returning for Sniper: G.R.I.T., it seems as though the franchise is set to continue in the direction Oliver Thompson set for the foreseeable future.

Sniper: G.R.I.T. releases on digital on September 26th, and Blu-ray on October 10th.
