Snape Raises Harry Potter In A Pixar-Styled Movie In Strangely Heartwarming Art

Strangely heartwarming Harry Potter art imagines Snape raising The Boy Who Lived in a Pixar-style animated movie. Based on the beloved books by J.K. Rowling, the Harry Potter franchise follows the young wizard at Hogwarts and his conflict with the dark Lord Voldemort. As an infant, Harry’s parents, James and Lily Potter, are murdered by Voldemort, and he is taken to live with his muggle aunt and uncle, Petunia and Vernon Dursley. Because of his love for Lily, Professor Severus Snape helps watch over Harry at Hogwarts.

However, some Pixar-style art shared by wizardzworld on Instagram imagines instead if Snape, and not the Dursleys, raised Harry after the death of his parents, and the result is strangely heartwarming. Check out the art below:

The series of Pixar-style art imagines Snape holding Harry as a baby and spectating as he wears the Sorting Hat at Hogwarts, hoping he’s assigned to Slytherin. Harry is seemingly assigned to Slytherin in this alternate reality since he’s seen hanging out with Draco Malfoy in other images. Harry and Snape can also be seen practicing Quidditch and sharing other heartwarming moments together.

Would A Pixar-Style Animated Harry Potter Work?

Since Rowling’s books and their live-action adaptations have been wildly popular with younger audiences, an animated Harry Potter has long been an intriguing idea. The magical and fantastical elements of the Wizarding World arguably could be more effectively captured in animation, considering there are fewer constraints. The first two books, Sorcerer’s Stone and Chamber of Secrets, would be especially conducive to a Pixar-style Harry Potter movie considering they contain more childlike wonder. The series takes a darker turn with Prisoner of Azkaban as the main characters come of age.

An animated series that explores alternate scenarios within the Harry Potter universe, similar to Marvel’s What If…?, would also be an intriguing idea. What if Harry was raised by Snape, which is undeniably heartwarming based on the Pixar-style art, is just one example of an alternate scenario an animated Harry Potter series could explore. Warner Bros. seemingly has no such project in the works, though they are working on a Harry Potter show for Max which is intended to provide a more faithful, long-form adaptation of Rowling’s books.
