Silent Hill PS5 Exclusive To Be Revealed In 2020, According To Leaker

A reliable leaker has restated that a PS5-exclusive Silent Hill game will be announced in 2020. The leaker has shared this information a number of times in the past using the handle AestheticGamer1, but their predictions surrounding the leak are now more detailed than before.

The rumor mill has been churning with claims of a new Silent Hill game for quite some time. Speculation has been divided on whether that game will be an all-new entry in the main series, a reboot, or a resurrection of the cancelled Silent Hills. Many fans thought that Kojima Productions had acquired the rights to resume development of the game, until Kojima recently denied working on Silent Hills. However, evidence of a new Silent Hill has still been mounting, and one of its most prominent leakers has emphasized the game’s existence once again.

Today on Twitter (courtesy of Screen Rant sister site Game Rant), AestheticGamer1 assured followers that a new Silent Hill game is coming, and it may be revealed sooner than expected. They say they’re is 100% certain that this game is in production, and they’ve has known about it since early this year. “A Japanese-developed Silent Hill game started dev at the beginning of 2019 (a bit of planning & work done at the end of 2018),” the leaker stated. While they can’t personally confirm who was making the game, they “believe in what’s been reported” and is currently investigating for themselves.

AestheticGamer1 is referring to reports that Sony and its Japan Studio are responsible for this next Silent Hill title, and that it will be a PlayStation 5 exclusive as a result. If those reports are true, they said, then the game will be unveiled in August or September of this year. He backed this up with some more insider information: “[In] August there is planned State of Play in response to Microsoft’s July event with new announcements. [In] September there’s a thing planned around [Tokyo Game Show].”

Given that AestheticGamer1 has proven to be a reliable and accurate leaker in the past (especially regarding horror games), it’s probable that this info is valid. Almost all of their leaks about the existence and details of Resident Evil 8 turned out to be true once Capcom revealed the game. If one can expect that level of accuracy from him when it comes to this new Silent Hill game, then fans may actually be getting what they’ve wanted for so long.
