Silent Hill Image Leak Seemingly Confirmed By Actor

As the Silent Hill rumor mill continues to churn, Brazilian actor and model Fadile Waked has commented on the recently-leaked images, seemingly confirming they’re real. The series of images reportedly came from a Silent Hill demo reminiscent of P.T., and fans have been dissecting and scrutinizing them over the past few days.

A whirlwind of leaks, reports, and rumors has blown through the Silent Hill fanbase this past week. Some of the most widely reported information adds details to what many have already assumed, such as the Silent Hill 2 remake allegedly coming from Bloober Team. However, the past week has also delivered rumors about additional Silent Hill projects, with a new report claiming that up to three Silent Hill games could currently be in development. These are supposedly a Silent Hill 2 remake, an episodic Silent Hill story similar to Telltale’s The Walking Dead series, and, perhaps most significantly, a brand-new, mainline entry in the franchise. The seemingly real Silent Hill screenshot leaks are presumed to be from this new game, which internet detectives have predicted will be set in Britain due to the presence of British slang in the images.

As covered by Silent Hill fans in a Reddit post by MinatoHikari (via GamesRadar), Brazilian actress Fadile Waked recently made an Instagram story commenting on the leaked images, saying that she has been getting messages since her “pics leaked everywhere.” She goes on to state that she needs to “check the new Silent Hill.” The pictures included with Waked’s story – which come from account fcreews – show her in a motion-capture suit next to a man who bears a striking resemblance to Hideo Kojima. Waked is based in Japan, which has led some Reddit users to believe she is more likely to be involved in this rumored Silent Hill project.

This post from Waked, coupled with the other rumors and Konami’s update to the Silent Hill trademark, has emboldened fans, with many considering the leaked images to be all but confirmed. It’s still important to take all this information with a grain of salt, however, as Waked’s comments could simply suggest that her images have been connected to Silent Hill by fans, rather than unambiguously confirming her involvement. This more conservative interpretation is supported by the gaming industry’s tendency to be secretive; while leaks do happen, an actor in a new Silent Hill game would likely sign an NDA of some kind and wouldn’t be so willing to flippantly post about the project online. Hideo Kojima being involved would make this even more likely, as his reunion with Konami would be carefully planned from a PR standpoint.

Then again, there is strong reason to believe that Konami would be revitalizing the beloved horror franchise, even if a new entry is less likely than something like the rumored Silent Hill 2 remake. It’s also worth remembering the original leak was hit with a copyright strike from Konami, suggesting the images do indeed belong to the company. Waked’s mo-cap pictures, while having the potential to be tied to a number of different projects, could just as easily be linked to Silent Hill, and her post could simply be a slip-up from a publicity and marketing standpoint. It is far too early to make definitive statements on the future of Silent Hill, even if some leaks appear to be confirmed by outside sources like actors.
