Baylan Skoll and Shin Hati are back to start some trouble in this phenomenal Ashoka cosplay video. The deadly duo made a huge impact as primary antagonists of the new series. They made their debut as allies of Morgan Elisabeth, and they joined her on the quest to find Grand Admiral Thrawn. Along the way, their ambitions and thirst for very different kinds of power split the fallen Jedi from his apprentice. As a unit, however, the two of them were quite the force to be reckoned with.
The cosplay video was posted to TikTok by creator Chapters Of Chester, who appears himself costumed as Baylan and is accompanied by fellow cosplayer @lucysfolklore portraying Shin.
The video is edited in several choppy shots, first showing Shin’s menacing footsteps before cutting to her and Baylan both drawing their lightsabers with an intimidating stare. The video ends with one last shot of the two dark Jedi. Coupled with the intense beats of the back ground music, the detailed cosplay creations are wildly impressive, with the caption, “Shin Hati and Baylan Skoll, ready to churn up some trouble.” That certainly looks like the case!

Season 1 of Ashoka ended with a bit of a cliffhanger for all the characters, but the separation of Shin and Baylan is definitely something that will impact the story’s future. Baylan made it clear that he believed Shin was destined for greatness, but she’s left alone when he abandons her to forge her own path. Meanwhile, Baylan becomes focused on his own destiny, which he hopes will be revealed on Peridea.
Baylan’s intent is to eventually end the galaxy’s cycle of corruption and rebuilding, while Shin seeks great power of her own.
