She-Hulk Todd Actor Reveals Which MCU Villain He Wants To Team-Up With

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law star Jon Bass reveals which Marvel villain he wants his character, Todd Phelps, to team up with. She-Hulk: Attorney at Law premiered in August and recently wrapped up its first season. The series follows Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany), a lawyer and cousin of Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) who gains the ability to transform into She-Hulk. Her transformation comes with some merits, such as being promoted to head a law division specializing in superhuman affairs. However, she also faces harassment, particularly from the criminal organization Intelligencia and from disgruntled men who dislike that a woman is a successful lawyer and Hulk.

Intelligencia quickly rises as the biggest threat against Jennifer. The organization’s online website launches a campaign against She-Hulk, going as far as making death threats against her. Later, Intelligencia is behind a sample of her blood being stolen and having a personal video of herself played in public. In the She-Hulk: Attorney at Law finale, it is revealed that Phelps (Bass), a man who became embittered towards others receiving superpowers, created the website under the username HulkKing and sought to get superpowers himself using She-Hulk’s blood.

In an interview with Screen Rant, Bass reveals which Marvel villain he could see Phelps teaming up with. Bass chooses The Leader, which is an understandable choice, given that The Leader is the archenemy of the Hulk. Check out his explanation below:

I was going to say The Leader, right? I mean, it’s right there. Also, at some point, The Leader’s going to need a website. And Todd’s already got intelligencia.com. So, he’s got to come into the 21st century.

Other MCU Bad Guys Todd Could Team Up With

The Leader is one of the most obvious choices for Phelps to team up with, given that both of them resent the Hulk. During the earlier episodes of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, many theorized that the Wrecking Crew’s boss and founder of Intelligencia was The Leader, showing that many could see The Leader having the same mindset and motives as Phelps. Another bad guy Phelps could team up with is Titania (Jameela Jamil). Titania shares his dislike of She-Hulk and has a long-running feud with her in the comics. Additionally, with the recent announcement that Harrison Ford has been cast in the MCU as Thunderbolt Ross (a.k.a. Red Hulk), he would make another strong candidate for Phelps to team up with. Ross was known for harboring an obsession with Hulk and Banner, though his motivations differ from Todd’s significantly.

Ultimately, there’s no lack of villains that Phelps could team up with. While Hulk’s enemies like The Leader, Titania, and Ross are the likeliest choices, Phelps could go with a bigger threat, like The Hood or Kingpin. After all, the Wrecking Crew has ties to The Hood in the comics, and the villain is rumored to make his debut in Ironheart, portrayed by Anthony Ramos. Meanwhile, with She-Hulk’s connection to Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Phelps could also approach Daredevil’s enemies to get to her, including Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio). Ultimately, the MCU is quickly growing in its number of villains and criminal organizations, opening many opportunities for Phelps to strike up an alliance and return outside She-Hulk: Attorney at Law if the MCU sees fit.
