Sharon Horgan Seeks A Death Cap In Bad Sisters [EXCLUSIVE CLIP]

Screen Rant is thrilled to present an exclusive sneak peek from this week’s episode of Bad Sisters, which premieres on Apple TV+ August 26. With two episodes under its belt so far, the new series has already received critical acclaim for its nuanced balance of humor and heartbreak, in large part thanks to its Emmy Award-nominated and BAFTA Award-winning creator Sharon Horgan. In addition to developing the project, Horgan leads the cast as one of five sisters who have made a big mess for themselves in the first episode.

Bad Sisters follows the Garvey family, made up of five sisters whose parents passed away early on and left them holding onto each other for support. The other four sisters are played by Anne-Marie Duff, Eva Birthistle, Sarah Greene, and Eve Hewson. That fierce bond has remained strong throughout their lives, even if it means protecting their sister Grace (Duff) from her hideous husband John Paul (Claes Bang) through less than savory means.

In Screen Rant‘s exclusive clip from Bad Sisters episode 3, Eva (Horgan) and Bibi (Greene) attempt to research the “death cap” mushroom, whose poison can apparently kill a man if enough is extracted. More cautious than her sister, Eva is torn between being concerned that it’s not a foolproof plan and feeling aghast that Bibi actually stole books about such a prospect from the library. Check out the full clip below:

To add to the mystery of his death and help explain why the Garveys might have felt compelled to get rid of Grace’s husband, Bad Sisters weaves in and out of time. While episode 2 showcased Eva and Bibi setting fire to their sister’s home while she and her daughter were out, that method clearly did not take. And that is why the two of them are seen poring over poisonous fungi in episode 3, “Chopped Liver.”

The synopsis for Bad Sisters episode 3 confirms that Ursula (Eva Birthistle) is the next sister who must deal with John Paul’s abuses in the past timeline. Meanwhile, in the present, insurance investigator Thomas (Brian Gleeson) hopes the police will help him catch the Garveys—mostly so he doesn’t have to pay out the life insurance policy. Whether his brother Matthew’s (Daryl McCormack) burgeoning relationship with the youngest Garvey sister Becka (Hewson) throws a wrench in the proceedings has yet to be seen, however.
