Sex Education stars have a sweet reunion in new behind-the-scenes images. Netflix’s British series is gearing up to return with new episodes continuing Otis, Maeve, and Eric’s stories. When Sex Education returns for season 4, however, it will be significantly different as the show goes through several changes. For starters, Moordale Secondary School will no longer be its backdrop. Secondly, several cast members won’t be in the project anymore including Bridgerton‘s Simone Ashley, Patricia Allison, Tanya Reynolds, and Rakhee Thakkar. The good news is, Sex Education‘s main trio will be complete when it comes back for its latest year.
Netflix has still yet to confirm when Sex Education season 4 will be released, but production has been quietly going on for quite a while now. The streamer has shared certain details about what to expect from the show’s upcoming outing, as well as, several promotional stills including one with Otis and Ruby. That being said, it has yet to roll out the first look on the main trio together, and while Ncuti Gatwa’s images come from a come from both Sex Education and Barbie sets, seeing him hang out with Asa Butterfield and Emma Mackey should be enough to excite fans for what’s to come for Otis, Eric, and Maeve on season 4 of the Netflix series.
What To Expect For Otis, Eric & Maeve In Sex Education Season 4

After Moordale Secondary School was sold, the remaining students are forced to find other academic alternatives. This forces Otis and Eric to transfer to a new school, Cavendish Sixth Form College. Given their new enviroment, expect that there will be some period of adjustment for the pair, especially since the institution is reportedly the opposite of Moordale in a way that it is more liberal. Being in a fresh environment also means new characters which is always exciting.
As for Maeve, she continues her adventure in the U.S. after she was awarded a study abroad slot on Sex Education season 3. This means that she will be physically separated from Otis, which makes it difficult for them to maintain their fairly new relationship. Not much has been revealed about how life in America will be treating her, but hopefully, the opportunity gives Sex Education the wiggle room to highlight just how smart she is. It’s curious, however, how long she will be abroad as it could mean that she won’t interact much with the rest of the cast. In any case, Mackey already said that Maeve has a reduced role in Sex Education season 4, which is disappointing.
There have been murmurs that Sex Education is already nearing its end. Despite being a critical and commercial hit for Netflix, the show’s story effectively establishes its natural end. Whether or not season 4 will be its last is currently unknown. If it is the case, however, hopefully, the coming-of-age project ties all lingering loose ends satisfyingly, including the frustrating romance between Maeve and Otis.
