Tyler, who tried to play everything off as casual, did his best to make himself look innocent throughout the scandal, but looking back, it’s likely that he had more to do with the flirtation and near-kiss than it appeared.

When Tyler and Brittany announced their divorce, it was a shock to Selling The OC viewers as they appeared happy throughout the season and on social media. Although a reason hasn’t been confirmed, the pair spoke about their divorce as though it was an amicable, friendly split. Brittany even shared on her Instagram that the pair would continue as “best friends” despite their marriage collapsing. While the divorce seemed amicable, it appears it may have been anything but.
There have been allegations that during Brittany and Tyler’s marriage, she wasn’t happy about his relationship with Alex. Though many were taken aback by the fact that they were going so far, the groundwork had been there throughout the season. It’s possible that Tyler was hiding more than his feelings for Alex, though, as Selling The OC season 2 continued. According to Deux Moi, Tyler allegedly had a girlfriend aside from Alex during the filming of Selling The OC season 2 and season 3.
While these rumors aren’t confirmed, it’s possible that if Tyler was already in a relationship, his time with Alex was even more dangerous. The pair were building a close friendship that could’ve already been more throughout Selling The OC season 2, which looked bad to other agents already, and the idea that Tyler was also dating someone else makes it seem even worse. Although they are merely rumors, the idea that Tyler and Alex could’ve been cheating through multiple relationships is a scandalous notion worth investigating.
