Selling Sunset: Why Heather & Maya May Join Brett’s New Brokerage

Selling Sunset: Why Heather & Maya May Join Brett’s New Brokerage

It’s hard to believe but on the upcoming Season 3 of Selling Sunset the Oppenheim Twins split up! It’s been revealed that Brett Oppenheim goes off and does his own thing, by opening up his own brokerage, Oppenheim Real Estate and is no longer affiliated with The Oppenheim Group.

It’s anyone’s guess who goes along with him, if anyone. However, judging from Season Two of Selling Sunset, it would appear that Heather Young and Maya Vander would be loyal to Brett. During Season Two, Episode Two, Heather comes over to tour Brett‘s new fancy three bedroom, four bath, 3144 sq ft condo on Doheny Drive in LA. They then have a heart to heart talk about Heather’s new man Tarek El Moussa and delve a bit into Heather & Brett‘s relationship.  During a somewhat flirtatious conversation, Heather asks Brett “if they started dating five years ago where would they be? Brett jokingly answers “divorced.” Brett went onto say that if they were “on the same page, he’d have a mad crush.” Then Heather agreed that they want different things.  Both agree that they have a strong connection. Brett telling her “Our bond is so strong.” Then Heather telling Brett, “You’re probably one of my best guy friends.” In the end, Brett gave his blessing to Heather about her new relationship. He just doesn’t want her to be too distracted as he “expects for her to be operating at an incredibly high level.” While watching , we just didn’t know he meant while at his new firm. I’m pretty sure most fans would agree that Heather wouldn’t  think twice about following Brett over to his new brokerage. The other contender that’s an obvious one, would be Maya Vander. On Selling SunsetSeason Two, Episode Five, Brett brings Maya to one of his developments/new listings. He appears to be grooming Maya about all the ins and outs on selling new developments. Brett stated that he acts as a consultant throughout the developers process on a project, and then his prize is that he gets the listings. By the end of this particular development walk through, Brett gives Maya the listing.  So you can better believe it, listings are super tough to come by and Maya will not be letting go of that opportunity she was just given, nor the future ones to come.

The Selling Sunset shocking secret was revealed by Christine Quinn via Reality Blurb. She said, “It’s public knowledge. Someone has left the brokerage for good and started their own brokerage. It’s Brett,” Christine confirmed. “So there’s been a division going on… It’s so divided and it’s so broken and it’s just not, it’s not normal.”

Brett isn’t hiding the fact that he branches off on his own either. On his Instagram page @brettoppenheim, Brett lists his new URL as oppenheimrealestate.com. The Oppenheim Group’s website is ogroup.com. Only Jason’s bio remains on The Oppenheim Group’s site. The only agent featured on Brett’s new website is himself.

Season 3 of Selling Sunset will be released in August. As of now, Broker Brett is the only agent featured on his slick new website. No doubt, once Season 3 of Selling Sunset airs, Brett’s Dream Team will be prominently featured there as well.
