Selling Sunset: Why Christine Quinn Decided To Quit

Christine has quit The Oppenheim Group ahead of Selling Sunset season 6 and fans want to know why. The luxury realtor was introduced to fans during the first season of the Netflix reality series back in 2019. Even though Christine always came off as the villain, she still had quite the large following. Despite the love from fans, Christine didn’t receive the same niceties from her coworkers.

Ever since Christine began feuding with Chrishell Stause after her divorce from actor Justin Hartley, the reality star became public enemy number one in the office. Even her close friend and costar Davina Portraz ditched her for the other ladies at The Oppenheim Group. Christine was clearly feeling isolated from the group and decided to leave her Selling Sunset days behind her.

A source exclusively told Us Weekly last week that Christine has left The Oppenheim Group and will not be returning for Selling Sunset season 6. “It was Christine’s decision to leave the Oppenheim Group,” the insider said of the 33-year-old. Not only is the mother of one’s departure confirmed, but her bio has also been cut from the brokerage’s website. Even though Christine’s long-standing work history is no longer available to view on the website, her image is still a part of a group photo of the team at the top of the “Our Team” tab. While fans might be thinking Christine left the show because of the drama, it might be due to her new business venture with her husband, Christian Richard.

Christine has also previously said she chose to leave The Oppenheim Group since the company didn’t believe in using cryptocurrency. “A lot of brokerages are very wary about accepting crypto because they don’t understand the inner workings of it, so that’s why it’s very difficult for agents to do these transactions,” Christine said during an interview with Forbes last month. While talking about cryptocurrency and real estate, Christine and her tech industry husband spoke about their new business, RealOpen, which they cofounded together. The purpose of RealOpen is to allow anyone from anywhere to purchase or sell a home using crypto. The idea is revolutionary, so Christine may no longer need her career as a realtor. Despite Christine leaving the firm, the source never said whether or not she will be on Selling Sunset season 6. If she is coming back, it is likely fans will not find out until the ladies start filming.

Overall, Christine realized she no longer wanted to be a part of The Oppenheim Group now that she and her husband have started their own business. Christine is over the drama and for always being put in the villain role. And with Christine’s absence from the Selling Sunset season 5 reunion, fans may never know her side of the story.
