Selling Sunset: Maya Vander Reveals Why Her Hubby Isn’t On The Show

Maya Vander, star of Selling Sunset, has one of the most wonderful personalities on the show. Too bad, she has fewer scenes in the newest season. Now, many viewers are keen to know more about her personal life, especially why her husband is missing in action.

Fans get to know a lot of juicy tidbits about Christine Quinn’s husband Christian Richard, that he’s a retired tech big shot. Heather Rae Young is always talking about her whirlwind romance with real estate tycoon Tarek El Moussa. Mary literally got married on the show with Romain Bonnet. Then, Chrishell Stause mentions her ex-husband several times in the last few episodes of this season. So, why don’t viewers get to hear anything about Maya’s husband? Is she keeping him under wraps intentionally or it was the producer’s decision. Well, the mom of two is here to answer!

While talking to Page Six in an interview, the Netflix star revealed that she really wished to star alongside her husband, Dave. But she chose not to showcase him on Selling Sunset. She thinks that her husband has a great career in finance (in Miami), and the reality show could have sabotaged it. The 32-year-old said, “I really wanted (my husband) to be in the show, but he’s in finance and his job is very respectable, and he has a very good career for him. So for him to be on the show, unfortunately, it can actually maybe destroy his career.” Well, her concerns are real. A reality show follows the star’s life quite closely, which can be a little distressing at times. Chrishell had to go through a public divorce, and she had to relive that painful experience twice. Maya added, “So I rather him not to get involved. I tried to show him a little bit on social media just so people know that I do have a husband and he’s a nice guy. He’s a great guy.” Check out the picture she posted with him on her IG:

Still, viewers can imagine how helpful and loving Maya’s husband is. The couple has been keeping up with their busy working schedules while taking care of their two kids. While talking about how her husband supports her, Maya revealed, “When I was in LA and he (her husband) was here, I lived with our son in LA for the first couple of months, and he was doing the back and forth. So it wasn’t easy either. But he was supporting me doing Selling Sunset.”

Aww, that’s so adorable! After two miscarriages, the real estate agent has been blessed with two kids. She has a one-year-old son named Aiden, and a daughter, Elle Madison, who is only 2 months old. So, in a nutshell, there’s no hope that viewers would see Maya’s husband in the upcoming season.

All episodes of Selling Sunset are available to stream on Netflix.
