The next movie collaboration between Ryan Reynolds and Shawn Levy has been revealed. This year, Levy and Reynolds collaborated together again on Deadpool 3. Releasing on July 26, Deadpool 3 features a leading cast including Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Morena Baccarin, Jennifer Garner, Patrick Stewart, and Matthew Macfadyen.
Paramount has announced the next project between Reynolds and Levy. According to the studio, the two will pair up again for the upcoming film Boy Band. Reynolds will star in the feature along with producing it, and Levy is set to direct the film.
What To Expect from Boy Band
Boy Band was first announced in February 2023, with Reynolds tied to produce and star. This most recent announcement adds to the film’s excitement, as it will mark the fourth collaboration between Levy and Reynolds, who previously worked together on Free Guy, The Adam Project, and soon Deadpool 3. Previously, Levy had been rumored but not yet confirmed to direct the film because of scheduling concerns. Through Boy Band, Levy and Reynolds will be able to hone their strong existing rapport.
Boy Band’s story is created by Reynolds and its script is co-written by him and Jesse Andrews. The nature of the plot for Boy Band is as of yet under wraps. Still, Reynolds’ writing team partner enhances the anticipation of the film. Andrews is the award-winning screenwriter behind the film Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, on which he also wrote the novel on which the film is based. Andrews then went on to help pen Pixar’s Luca, showing his range.
