On December 23, World of Wonder served up the season finale of Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs. The World, and audiences want to know more about first runner-up, Silky Nutmeg Ganache. The all-new series imported competing queens from the US, the UK, and Down Under (Australia) to take on the defending queens of Canada. On Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs. The World, Silky starred alongside sisters Ra’Jah O’Hara, UK fan-favorites Victoria Scone and Vanity Milan, and the Canadian queens, Rita Baga and Icesis Couture. During her run, she won two Maxi Challenges. Silky was victorious in the Weather Ball and “Comedy Queens” stand-up challenges. Additionally, Silky was part of Team SRV (Silky, Ra’Jah, and Vanity). The trio rocked the girl group challenge with their iconic rendition of the Drag Race original, “Bonjour, Hi.”
Silky Nutmeg Ganache’s Age, Hometown & Bio
32-year-old Reginald Homer Steele AKA Silky Nutmeg Ganache was born in Moss Point, Mississippi; however, they currently reside and perform in Chicago, Illinois. Originally named, “Lasagna Frozeen,” Silky is a pageant queen, and has participated in over 100 competitions. She is set to star in her own World of Wonder Present Plus original, Shantay You Pray, where the Drag Race celeb will dig deeper into world religions. Iconically, Silky is a proud registered Republican. She has appeared in a variety of music videos, from Lizzo’s “Juice” to Yvie Oddly’s “Hype.”
Silky Competed On RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 11 & All Stars 6
During Silky’s feature on Drag Race season 11, she bagged two Maxi Challenge wins and one Mini Challenge victory. Silky won “Trump: The Rusical,” as well as the Snatch Game, where she portrayed Bring Back My Girls host, TS Madison. Ultimately, Silky was the runner-up of her premiere season, along with A’keria Chanel Davenport. Later on, in 2021, she competed on RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars 6. In the long run, she was eliminated third, placing 11th; however, in episode 10, she returned to compete for a spot back in the competition. She won six out of seven of her lip syncs, making her the record-holder for most lip-sync wins in a single Drag Race episode, but she fell just short.
