In Rune Factory 5, players will earn SEED points as they complete various in-game tasks. Once players have acquired sufficient SEED points, they will be able to complete Directives, which allow them to participate in festivals, earn crafting licenses, increase the storage space, and renovate some buildings. To acquire SEED points, players can defeat bosses, interact with NPCs, and participate in contests.
Players can earn 30 SEED points once per day from battling boss monsters using the combat system in Rune Factory 5. In addition to the SEED points, players can also earn rare item drops and money from successfully defeating the bosses. Additionally, players can earn up to 100 SEED points per day from defeating normal monsters, which each providing two SEED points. Players will find these enemies roaming the field. Finally, players can capture wanted monsters to earn points. To do so, players should interact with Livia to claim their quest. The number of SEED points earned will vary depending on Capture Difficulty and the amount of remaining HP the monster has left when it is captured. The more HP the monster has and the higher the Capture Difficulty, the more SEED points the player can expect to earn.
Players can also earn SEED points from interacting with the local townsfolk, some of which are marriageable candidates in Rune Factory 5. Each NPC the player interacts with during the day will reward them with one SEED point in addition to the increase in friendship points. Players will also earn points from doing activities like forging, cooking, and fishing with an NPC and earn 3 SEED points. Of note, players will need to have a sufficiently high friendship level with the NPC before they can do activities together. Additionally, players will also find requests posted on the town’s Task Board. Successfully completing a task from the list will reward players with 100 SEED points, which makes the Task Board one of the most efficient methods to earn SEED points.
Rune Factory 5: Earn and Use SEED Points
Players will also be tasked with direct requests from Rune Factory 5 characters, and successfully completing these requests will earn players 200 SEED points. Accordingly, completing the direct requests is the fastest in-game method to earn SEED points. Additionally, players will discover that there are several contests throughout the year. If players successfully place during these events, they will earn SEED points according to their final placement. For a first place finish, players will earn 150 SEED points, second place is 100, and third place is 50 SEED points.
To use their accrued SEED points, players should purchase Directives. To do so, players should find the Seed Rigbarth station and interact with Eliza, a Rune Factory 5 character. Directives allow players to plan festivals, such as the Cooking Contest Festival and the Bean-Toss Festival. Once a festival is purchased, it will repeat every year. Additionally, players can spend their SEED points to increase their personal inventory, which is especially beneficial during the early game. Players can also use their SEED points to renovate buildings, such as their room, the Monster Barn, and the dragon farm. Finally, players can use their SEED points to purchase new crafting licenses, which will expand the player’s access to craftable items.
