Eiza González stars in Guy Ritchie’s The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, and it appears to be just the beginning of her establishment as one of Ritchie’s most frequent collaborators. Her role as the charismatic undercover operative Marjorie Stewart highlighted González’s 7-year-trend as a budding action star, a trend which will continue in the next two years. The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare allowed González to show off her action chops in addition to her effectiveness in comedy, making her a natural regular collaborator for Ritchie, one of Hollywood’s most prolific action comedy directors.
The real Marjorie Stewart didn’t have anywhere near as large a role in the real WWII operation that inspired The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, so the fact that Guy Ritchie expanded Eiza González’s part shows how much he believes in her abilities. Ritchie has a tendency to work with actors more than once; he established a partnership with Jason Statham over the course of 20+ years, and Henry Cavill is set to star in his third Guy Ritchie movie in 2024. Eiza González is set to join him in that movie, and she’s already got another Guy Ritchie collaboration on the horizon.
Eiza González Is Starring In Guy Ritchie’s Next 2 Movies After Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare
González seems to have become one of Ritchie’s go-to cast members.
Along with Henry Cavill and Jake Gyllenhaal, Eiza González will star in Guy Ritchie’s upcoming action thriller In the Grey, which is set to release in January 2025. While only a few details have been revealed about the film’s plot, González appears to be the female lead for the movie, although Rosamund Pike will have a starring role as well. Her status as the lead is an indication that González has begun to rise from a side character or member of an ensemble cast to a bona fide action star.

The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare | Marjorie Stewart | 2024 |
Before the release of The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, it was revealed that González would also be starring in another Guy Ritchie action movie, Fountain of Youth. Little is known about the movie except that it will be an adventure heist film, and will feature an all-star ensemble cast that includes John Krasinski, Domhnall Gleeson, and Natalie Portman, in addition to González. With three Guy Ritchie films in three years, it’s pretty clear that Eiza González will continue to be a major collaborator with Ritchie for years to come.
Eiza González’s Ungentlemanly Warfare Role Is Promising For Her Next Guy Ritchie Movies
She plays a prominent role and is thoroughly entertaining as Marjorie Stewart.
As Marjorie Stewart in The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, Eiza González gets to show off a number of talents. In addition to her skills as an action star, González got to showcase her singing abilities in one crucial (and very fun) scene. That means Guy Ritchie understands how best to utilize González’s skill set for maximum entertainment. That makes her upcoming roles very promising, especially given how fun Guy Ritchie movies tend to be.
The size of her role in The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare also bodes well for her future collaborations. While most of her past film credits were supporting roles, she is given the opportunity to take center stage in several scenes as Marjorie Stewart. Her billing as the primary lead in In the Grey indicates that she could take on an even more significant role in the 2025 Guy Ritchie action thriller, and she’s at least one of the primary cast members listed for Fountain of Youth. Her role in The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare makes Eiza González’s upcoming roles in Guy Ritchie’s next two movies very exciting.
