Adult Swim’s Royal Crackers is coming back for a second season less than a year since the first began to air. Premiering April 2nd, 2023, Royal Crackers quickly became Adult Swim’s most-watched new series of the year. It was a welcome win for show creator Jason Ruiz, who also executive produces the series alongside Seth Cohen (The Last Man on Earth) and Evan Mann (Arrested Development). With Royal Crackers, Ruiz has proven himself as a viable showrunner and star; he also leads the series as the character Stebe.
Royal Crackers’ success may put it in the running against some of the best Adult Swim shows of the 2000s, and Screen Rant is excited to present the trailer for Royal Crackers season 2. Royal Crackers season 2 is set to continue the comedy of the show’s first outing while diving deeper into the lives of its signature characters. The official series description promises that the show will further explore Stebe and Theo’s daddy issues as their father’s dark past affects their lives. Theo’s fall from stardom also has an impact on the character as he tries to learn to accept himself; the relationship between Deb and Stebe is also put to the test, and Matt struggles to fit in both in school and at home. On top of it all, the Royal Crackers company aims to stay relevant and even grow to new levels of popularity.
Royal Crackers premieres at midnight on Thursday, February 29th, and will be available to stream on Max the day after it airs on Adult Swim. After the slew of movies and TV shows arriving on Max in January, Royal Crackers will add more fun content to the platform. Given the speed with which Royal Crackers was renewed for season 2, it’s also possible that information about Royal Crackers season 3 will soon follow.
