Rosario Dawson is reportedly returning as Claire Temple for the new seasons of Daredevil and Iron Fist. When Marvel TV made plans to carve out a corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe on Netflix, they needed a connective thread to tie everything together. Instead of making Charlie Cox’s Daredevil run all over New York, that job went to Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson). Her introduction in Daredevil season 1 kicked off an arc that is still going. She has so far appeared in every single Marvel Netflix property, excluding The Punisher.
Even with Disney launching a streaming service of their own in 2019, the Marvel/Netflix shows are going to continue on. Now that the four main Marvel/Netflix series have crossed over with The Defenders, the shows will begin to interconnect with one another in new and fresh ways (see, for example, Misty Knight joining Iron Fist season 2). At the same time, Dawson is expected to remain busy while Claire continues to serve as an important connective tissue holding the Marvel/Netflix-verse together.

DiscussingFilm is reporting that Rosario Dawson will reprise her role as Claire Temple next in both Daredevil season 3 and Iron Fist season 2. The new seasons of both shows are currently in production and will presumably once again call upon Claire to continue saving lives, in addition to patching up superheroes like Matt Murdock, Danny Rand, and so forth.
The last time audiences saw Claire was in The Defenders, where she got her happy reunions with Luke Cage (Mike Colter). She is also set to appear in Luke Cage season 2, so the duo’s story together should pickup there. Events in the new season of Luke Cage may even set the stage for Claire’s role in both Daredevil season 3 and Iron Fist season 2. If nothing else, it’s good to know that Claire will get to reunite with Matt (Charlie Cox) once again, in addition to Danny Rand (Finn Jones) and Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick).
This report is not official however, so for the time being take it with a grain of salt. Marvel may not confirm Dawson’s return since it is almost expected at this point, but they did make an announcement in the past when she re-upped her contract. If no formal announcement does come, we could still get confirmation from set photos. Both Daredevil and Iron Fist have been light on set leaks, with the most recent exception teasing Wilson Fisk’s trial. Since both series are filming at the moment, photos of Dawson on set may pop up sooner rather than later.

Jessica Jones season 2 premieres March 8 on Netflix. Daredevil season 3 will debut in 2018. Premiere dates for Luke Cage season 2 and Iron Fist 2 have not yet been announced.
