RHUGT: Jill Zarin Says RHONY Was Right To Put Dorinda ‘On Pause’

Jill Zarin, who was an original housewife on The Real Housewives of New York City, is the latest star from The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip season 2 to slam Dorinda Medley with a shady throwback to her time on RHONYRHUGT season 2, which is nicknamed the “Ex-Wives Club,” features eight divorced housewives across four Real Housewives installments. Although the women were set to enjoy a vacation at Dorinda’s Blue Stone Manor in the Hamptons, drama while filming last fall quickly made its way online, especially between Dorinda and The Real Housewives of Orange County alum Vicki Gunvalson.

While some RHUGT season 2 stars (such as The Real Housewives of Atlanta‘s Eva Marcille and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Taylor Armstrong) met for the first time at Dorinda’s mansion, Jill and Dorinda’s relationship goes back long before both women appeared on RHONY. Although Jill has stayed busy defending Vicki’s abrasive attitude from Dorinda and former RHOBH star Brandi Glanville while filming RHUGT, Jill and Dorinda’s friendship has appeared to remain on the rocky side. Although Dorinda and the OG of the OC have been at odds for months since Vicki’s outburst regarding the COVID-19 vaccine, Jill hasn’t been Dorinda’s biggest advocator, especially after Jill’s late arrival on RHUGT clearly surprised Dorinda and the other women.

In a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, RHUGT co-stars Jill and Brandi played “Closet Confessions” with the “Godfather of Bravo,” where they were asked to answer some shade-inducing questions. When Andy inquired which RHONY housewife Jill would’ve liked to personally put “on pause,” on the series, Jill briefly contemplated before admitting, “I think they put the right one on pause, Dorinda.” Dorinda, who first joined RHONY season 6, was fired by Bravo in 2020 ahead of season 13. Although a specific reason wasn’t provided for Dorinda’s surprising exit, the 57-year-old was reportedly hard to work with and too emotionally high-strung, especially while under the influence.

In addition to calling out the Blue Stone Manor owner’s snip from RHONY, Jill quickly answered the question, “Who do you think is the thirstiest housewife?” with Dorinda, which has also recently been expressed by Real Housewives fans online. Although it’s become clear that Jill isn’t a fan of her RHUGT season 2 host, Dorinda wasn’t the only former housewife that Jill brought up on WWHL. Jill revealed that she thought Vicki was “desperate” to return to RHOC and also admitted that every RHONY star has talked behind Bethenny Frankel’s back. As for Brandi, who answered her own set of questions, the former RHOBH star had no problem being honest. In addition to hilariously calling Jill desperate and thirsty herself, Brandi called out Taylor for being “the least ultimate housewife.”

Every Real Housewives series has its own set of dramatically entertaining housewives, and with eight Bravo alumni together in one house, it’s unsurprising that RHUGT season 2 is full of conflict and drawn lines. With half of the second season still left to stream on Peacock, fans are waiting to see what else is in store for them, including all the fights that have been teased since late 2021. Dorinda, Jill and Vicki’s arguments may be a focal point of RHUGT season 2, but viewers are already looking towards season 3, especially since rumors of the series’ third set of cast members have already begun to circulate.

The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip streams Thursdays on Peacock.
