Alas, some people are saying that the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City might be the poorest in the whole franchise.
According to certain fans debating on Reddit, many people think that the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City castmates aren’t as wealthy as other housewives in the general franchise. “No one seems to have money in that cast but Mary… Bring in some rich b*tches for season 2,” one user wrote. Another fan felt differently, “It’s nice enough and they’re doing cool things, and it’s way more than I could ever afford. I think every series has its own vibe. The Potomac women don’t have a ton of money either and that to me is an incredible franchise.” Someone else pointed out that drama is more important than money, writing: “I’ll take women with moderate wealth and a lot of drama over women with a lot of wealth and little drama any day.”

The fact that the Salt Lake City housewives are less indulgent in their lifestyles likely has to do with their Mormon influence, not a lack of funds. As stated by the women themselves, the Mormon faith doesn’t believe in consuming mood-altering substances, such as alcohol, drugs, or even coffee.
It appears that some viewers prefer to watch extreme luxury whereas other viewers prefer drama. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast may not be the wealthiest in the franchise, but they’re all over $1 million, which is actually quite close to the average. However, if you prefer to watch the Real Housewives series to see the big bucks, you’d be better off with one of the other cities like Beverly Hills, Miami, or Atlanta.
