RHOSLC: Jen Shah’s $4 Million Utah Rental Home Hits the Market

RHOSLC: Jen Shah’s Million Utah Rental Home Hits the Market

The $4 million home of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jen Shah has reportedly hit the market. The end of the ‘Shah Ski Chalet’ era comes amidst the star’s arrest in March 2021 for her alleged involvement in a nationwide telemarketing scheme that allegedly targeted hundreds of people over the age of 55. The home was featured in the inaugural season of RHOSLC, during an early episode that showed the 46-year-old Salt Lake City native clearing out the rental to host an over-the-top birthday bash for RHOSLC co-star Meredith Marks, which ultimately did very little to acknowledge the supposed honoree and instead focused mainly on Shah herself.

The 9,240-square-foot mega-mansion was occupied by Jen Shah and her husband Sharieff – a football coach at the University of Utah – along with their two children. The ski-lodge-style home was revealed to be a rental last year after fans had been led to believe the couple owned the home, which raised some eyebrows and sparked speculation about what else the star could be potentially hiding. The RHOSLC star dismissed naysayers on social media, boasting that she owned four other homes and an apartment in New York City in addition to the sprawling Salt Lake City abode. Alas, her lawyers said in court that they did not believe the star owned any other properties.

Now, The Sun is reporting that Jen Shah’s luxurious property was listed on May 25 with a description reading, “At the end of a quiet cul-de-sac perched upon a bluff above the 8th and 10th holes of the renowned Tom Fazio designed Golf Club and Spa, this residence boasts panoramic views and serenity.” The expansive multi-story home contains three master suites and eight bathrooms, in addition to a wine cellar. Adding to the opulence, the home also boasts nine-foot ceilings and an indoor/outdoor jacuzzi apparatus overlooking the golf course. These palatial features must have been enticing to an eager buyer, as the report noted how the property record already shows that a seller has accepted an offer, and the home is “pending or under contract.”

It is unclear where the controversial RHOSLC star and commander of the ‘Shah Squad’ is currently residing. After she was released on a $1 million bail following her arrest in March, she immediately took to Instagram to post photos in full glam with the hashtag “#FreeJen“. Shah, who is the first housewife of Polynesian descent, was the breakout star of the show’s first season, donning ostentatious designer get-ups and impractical designer footwear with her posse of assistants in tow. Despite beginning the show with a seemingly steadfast ally in RHOSLC co-star Heather Gay, Shah managed to alienate most of the other women by the end of the season as a result of her frequent meltdowns, questionable motives, and combative tendencies. She also landed in hot water when audio was leaked a month prior to her arrest in which the RHOSLC star appeared to berate her assistants in an expletive-filled tirade.

Jen Shah is not the first woman in the Real Housewives franchise to face legal trouble, though she does reserve the distinction of being the only one of the show’s stars whose arrest was captured on camera. Producers have shared that filming of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City took place up to, during, and in the immediate aftermath of the star’s arrest, and the fans are eager to see what details will be shared with viewers when the second season comes out. Even though no release date has been set, eagle-eyed fans can continue to keep tabs on Jen Shah and her activity on social media.
