RHOP: Monique Samuels Asked Bravo To Fire Her After Fight

Monique Samuels from The Real Housewives of Potomac revealed that she asked Bravo to fire her after the altercation with Candiace Dillard Bassett.

The reality star has been the center of attention on the current season of The Real Housewives of Potomac due to her nasty physical altercation. The once close friends are no longer due to a filming day that went horribly wrong. Fans watched as Candiace egged Monique on, which led to the mother of three blacking out and attacking the beauty queen. Leaving her co-stars and fans shocked.

Fans watched on last week’s episode as Monique sat down with, he women at Karen Huger’s house to talk about the situation. Most of the women were not receptive to what they believed was an unremorseful Monique.  She recently spoke out to People about the incident.

Monique made it known during the episode that she felt that her co-stars were ready for the drama that night and that she had been triggered on purpose. The mother of three explained that the tone changed in the barn when Candiace asked, “You gone drag me?”  The Not For Lazy Moms podcast host felt Candiace had acted out on purpose to cause drama. While no one believed the argument would escalate Monique mentioned that she overheard Candiace yelling at production saying, ‘She’s fired?’ I’m like okay, she wants me to be fired. Then let me go and finish this.” Monique then dropped bombshell behind the scenes information about Candiace’s attitude saying, “I’ve seen her with a knife in her hand. I’ve seen her almost fight her husband to get someone. I saw parts of the reunion that didn’t air when her and Ashley were arguing and she jumped off the couch and told her, ‘You better shut your mouth before I come over and shut it for you.’ I’ve seen her in action, so if we’re having this verbal altercation and I say back up, I don’t know what’s next.” Monique even revealed that she begged Bravo to release her from her contract saying, “I requested that Bravo release me from my contract right after the fight, and we talked about it and they reassured me that whatever I needed to do that would make me feel comfortable they would oblige — and they did.”

The fight upset many of the other housewives on the show and left Monique feeling like maybe she should not be apart of it. Fans have recently learned that she will not appear on the girls’ trip nor would Gizelle Bryant or Candiace film in scenes with her.

The Real Housewives of Potomac airs Sundays at 9pm EST on Bravo.
