On the latest episode of Real Housewives of New York, new taglines weren’t the only new surprise for fans. Upon the Real Housewives of New York’s Season 12 return after a two-week hiatus, Jill Zarin made an appearance, having not been on the show in many seasons.
Out went Tinsley Mortimer, who is officially off the show for the rest of the RHONY season and most likely seasons to come, due to her engagement to Scott and her moving to Chicago. In came Jill Zarin. She was invited by Luann de Lesseps to the Halloween Voodoo Party, who said “Jill and I have been friends a long time and she is in love.” Since LuAnn is busy now with her Cabaret, “We don’t get to see each other as often as we like. So when I have a party like Halloween to invite her to come, I do.” Jill Zarin showed up to the party prep, to join a couple of the other Housewives to get her Halloween makeup done. Her look was a “pretty hooker.” Jill also arrived with two of her fave accessories in tow. One being her Pomeranian, Bossi, who she adopted back in 2018. The other was her fiance, Gary Brody.
Fans are happy to see a much more mellow and in love again Jill Zarin, especially after the heartbreak she endured when Bobby Zarin, her husband of 18 years, passed away in January, 2018. Around that time is when she adopted her new fluff ball Pom, Bossi from Serbia, as well as starting up her new relationship with Gary. As Page Six reported, Bobby gave his blessing for Jill to go ahead and find love again “As painful as it’s been to lose someone I loved so deeply and completely … Bobby told me before he left me that it’s OK to fall in love again and he wants me to be happy more than anyone. There will only be one Bobby Zarin. I promise never to forget you and I know you are my guardian angel.” Jill’s new man is the owner of Marcraft Apparel Group, a men’s clothing company. Jill still runs Zarin Fabrics. Jill said she thinks her late husband Bobby, would have approved of Gary and interestingly enough, Bobby and Gary once met while Jill and Bobby were still married. Jill & Gary are “now living together at a lavish penthouse formerly owned by painter Georgia O’Keefe” at Sutton Place in New York. The couple made things Instagram official in December of 2018 on her IG @mrsjillzarin.
Although Jill Zarin hasn’t been seen for a while on RHONY until this week, she did recently make headlines when it was revealed that her 27 year old daughter, Ally Shapiro, was conceived via a sperm donor, while married to her ex-husband, Steve Shapiro. Page Six revealed what was shared on Heather McDonald’s podcast Juicy Scoop, that she and Steven had planned to tell Ally the truth after she graduated from college, but that she ended up finding out on her own while snooping through Jill’s emails before her senior year at Vanderbilt University.

Even with all the recent drunken “Geriatrics Girls Gone Wild” embarrassing escapades, as RHONY newcomer, Elyse Slaine, so accurately put, she’s probably right.
