Is Ramona Singer fighting with Elyse Slaine on The Real Housewives of New York because she is jealous? The green-eyed monster is back, and it is not a good look for the Singer Stinger.
Last fans saw Elyse, she and Leah McSweeney spilled gossip about why Ramona couldn’t get a man during a social media video. The two women were shading their co-star from all sides as their true feelings spilled out. Ramona’s mean girl behavior led Elyse to turn against her one-time ally. They two are currently engaged in a feud that fans watched play out during the Halloween episode. The Singer Stinger has not been kind in recent weeks. She has pushed Elyse to the side and made it clear she does not want to speak with her.
During the August 27 episode, fans watched as Ramona literally ran away from Elyse, who she once called her close friend. After lunching with Luann de Lesseps, Ramona made it clear she felt Elyse was not a “girls’ girl” and wanted nothing to do with her. Instead of confronting her, the reality star made a mad dash for the door when Elyse walked in, as if trying out for the Olympic team.
No one is quite sure what went down between the two women, but all viewers can tell is there is no longer a friendship. Leah told cameras Ramona called her to demand she not invite Elyse to her Married to the Mob party. Disobeying orders did not still well with Ramona. At the same time, Elyse claimed she was under the control of the Ramona, telling the other women that she continuously went to bat for her and protected her. Many Bravo fans feel Elyse can’t offer Ramona anything to help her climb the social ladder, so she is trying her best to wiggle out of their lackluster friendship. Another plausible reason for Ramona’s hatred is that she is jealous of Elyse’s newfound fame. Elyse became a quick fan favorite with allies of her own, hanging Ramona out to dry.
Whatever the reason behind their falling out, it does not seem these two ladies will be reconciling anytime soon. They have already started their social media war, with Elyse pointing out that Ramona was living in a fantasy land when she thought she had one hundred close friends. Fans are hoping Elyse will get a chance to tell her side of the story during The Real Housewives of New York reunion.
