RHONY: Bethenny Frankel Reveals She Tried To Adopt A 3-Year-Old Child

The Real Housewives of New York’s  Bethenny Frankel has revealed that she tried to adopt a 3-year-old child

Almost a year ago, Bethenny Frankel announced that she would not be returning to RHONY. The CEO wanted to spend more time with her 10-year-old daughter Bryn and plan new business ventures. Both fans and the cast were shocked since Bethenny has always been a favorite of the franchise. Most recently, Bethenny announced that she would be launching a new podcast. The podcast aims to help listeners become as successful in business as Bethenny is, by providing listeners with access to inspiring conversations with self-made tycoons.

The new season of The Real Housewives of New York has provided more than enough drama, but some fans still miss Bethenny and her sharp tongue. While the franchise was changing, Bethenny quietly revealed that she tried to adopt a child. Frankel wanted to add to her family. According to People, the reality star tried to expand her family “a while back.” Check out the full post below:

On Sunday, the RHONY reality star opened up about her past experiences in the comment section of the People Instagram page. The 49-year-old explained that she had tried to adopt a three-year-old, but the process was difficult. She was referring to a post about a nine-year-old boy who lived in Oklahoma. His name is Jordan. He had spoken with a local news outlet about living in foster care. The interview helped push interest in adoption applications. Frankel’s daughter, who is 10, was very supportive of the idea. Her mother revealed that she said, “momma you should adopt him.”

Bethenny Frankel learned that once a child was put into a state system, it was very hard to get them out via adoption. Also, many prospective parents would like a baby instead of a toddler or older child. The former housewife claimed trying to adopt an older child was a harder process than trying to adopt a newborn. She realized that the family law system is more complicated that many people think.

Fans will recall that back in 2016, Frankel tried to adopt a five-year-old girl who had been abandoned in a New York City bus terminal. But again, the system failed her. It looks like Bethenny is serious about adding to her family through adoption and many fans feel that is admirable. Hopefully, she will be able to find the perfect child very soon.

The Real Housewives of New York airs Thursday at 9 pm EST on Bravo.
